Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.

God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you

...no one will ever know.

A LIMB HAS FALLEN

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

May I add a death certificate to a person's memorial page?

Death certificates may be added via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. Please select the option for "Other" in the "Type of photo:" to be added, as it is not a Grave, Person or Family photograph. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).

It really bothers me that some people go out and take all these pictures and put info on find a grave without any info as the person does not even belong to them and then they wont transfer as they say you are not a direct line , well I am one that if that person is not related to me I am more than willing for anyone to have it to put information on so others can find it.. So keep that in mind if you ask for a transfer be willing to transfer back and not always follow the guidelines that you have to be DIRECT relative. Sometime there is no one left to put the information on find a grave...

The date of death on Barbara Faulhaber's memorial page should read 1930. Could you please edit the date? Thank you.

"Ada Kent" Find A Grave Memorial# 145392943
Hello, In the later part of May I received a Find A Grave Correction from you for "Ada Kent" Find A Grave Memorial# 145392943.

It read:

"Their suggestion:
-------------------------
she is daughter of sarah and david, sarah is daughter of my 3rd grandmother, i dont see any of their husbands added."

I have came back to this several times but have been unable to figure out what you are asking me to do.

Who are Sarah & David? Are they Kents? Do they have memorials?

You don't see any of who's husbands added?

Maybe I'm missing something but I think I may need more information.

Best regards
Steve

RE: Charles H. Harmon # 29323555
Yes, Charles first married an Addison who died at the age of 28; he then remarried. I have them on my family tree. If you would like an invite to our tree please advise.

I took a stab & yes Charles Harmon is buried in Mt Olive Cemetery in Lebanon, Va. I took many photos in this cemetery. I will see if he connects on my family tree on ancecstry.com & will let you know.

RE: Charles H. Harmon # 29323555
Sorry the email you sent to me only gives me the option of going to your member page or findagrave. It does not give me the link to Charles' page. I upload lots of graves so if you would kindly give me the name of the graveyard, town & state I will check it out. The names make me think it is Lebanon, Russell Co. Virgina where most of my research centers around.

RE: Jane Ryan # 158236075
I suppose anything is possible but the News Index & Necrology File at the Cleveland Public Library has the following info listed:

12/4/1942
Ryan: Jane B., beloved wife of William R., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Bloom and sister of Richard and Lucian Bloom. Friends may call at late residence, 1102 Piermont Rd., South Euclid (1st street east of Belvoir, north of Mayfield). Services Saturday at 10 a. m. from St. Gregory's Church, 1545 Green Rd.

This information is consistent with other details I've found on Ancestry.com for Jane Charlotte Bloom (12/12/1916-12/4/1942), which lists her parents as Robert P. Bloom and Blanche Klack of Cook County, IL. She was married to a cousin of mine, Bill Ryan, who later remarried.
