I want to "Thank You!" for all that you have done for everyone, it takes special and very heartwarming people like you to do this for my family and others! I just hope that I can get intouch w/you in the future, if possible. You might remember or know my family, we are very well known of in De Funiak Springs, I remember my dad, and some of my family speaking of someone w/ the last name of Sunday, for, and I had three sisters marry 3 miller boys, and John Vann~still living, but from De Funiak also, is family. I definitely remember: The Hurleys, Cooks, Cossons, Hicks, Pinkards, Slays, Weeks, Campbells, and more!!! Thanks again. :)

Elinor Jamison Batey
Hi Dorothy,
If Elinor Jamison Batey wasn't a relative or a very good friend of yours, would you mind transferring her memorial to me? She was married to my mother's brother. I always enjoyed being around Aunt Elinor and have such fond memories of her from when I was younger.
Thank you,
Suzanne Forester Stein #47535777

RE: Sasnett memorial
Dorothy, Yes I know that I can link to memorials without ownership. However in my case I prefer to manage the memorials of people I am related to for two reasons: (1) It opens up avenues of conversation with people I care about and I can better serve the requests of relatives than can someone who has no knowledge of the family. (2.) In too many cases already I have come across family memorials with incorrect information and the person who manages the memorial is inactive or doesn't care enough to respond to suggested edits which I recommend.
I have discovered that everyone on FindAGrave approaches it differently. As for me, I am not a memorial hoarder. Two years ago as a means of "paying it forward" I photographed an entire small Catholic cemetery in Houston and ended up transferring the entire cemetery to someone who was related to many of the people buried there. Next month I am planning a trip to central Texas in search of a relative in a totally un-photographed cemetery near Mt. Pleasant. While there I will photograph the entire cemetery and then look for a Find A Grave member who has strong ties to the region to take over management. Most of the memorials I currently manage are family-member memorials transferred to me buy others ...something I am extremely grateful for. If I have asked you for a transfer and you do not want to fulfill the request ...no hard feelings. I'm participating in Find A Grave to add value when I can and share information whenever possible.
