Ruble Family
I am doing my grandson's genealogy. My son and his mother did not marry. She married a Ruble. You have made my job easy tracing his family. Thank you. Lois

Daniel Stanford Entrekin
Linda,

It has been sometime since I communicated with you. I just wanted to let you know that my husband, Kevin Entrekin, myself, and land owner of Entrekin Cemetery in Purvis (Wendell Lee) have been working for sometime now to get a new monument with full civil war credentials to replace broken monument of Daniel Stanford Entrekin. The veteran's association has approved a monument and it should be delivered any day now. I have read this letter many times as others have that Daniel wrote to his Sister N Law Susannah Rice Entrekin regarding the death of Daniel's brother James and other brothers during the civil war. We are hoping to have this original letter, if possible, engraved on a monument and placed in the cemetery where Daniel is buried at. Do you know who has the original letter and how to contact them directly? Is it the Quave family on ancestry.com?

Calvin Hodges
Hi Linda,
Well this is odd, found Calvin in the NOLA Death Index but this is his obit...

HODGES-On Thursday, Nov. 21, 1912, CALVIN T. HODGES, husband of MAMIE I. DICKSON, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Ocean Springs, Miss
Funeral on arrival of 9:10 a.m., train, Terminal Station, This (Saturday) Morning, Nov. 23, 1912. Interment private.
[Times-Picayune, Sat. 23 Nov 1912, pg 6.]

I don't quite understand but already submitted NOLA as his place of death so will go resubmit it as MS.
B.
