I am a retired elementary school teacher and administrator. I am very passionate about genealogy and the history of Western North Carolina and Blount/Monroe Counties of Tennessee. I will be happy to share photographs from local cemeteries here in the Crabtree/Iron Duff area of Haywood County, NC.|
If you have time, I would appreciate your paying a visit to the memorial for my brother David Edwards Nichols, Metz Cemetery, Graham County, NC. David passed away on February 17, 2012. He was an avid genealogist and took many photos of stones for Find A Grave, as well as located pictures of individuals so I could post them. I have many more to post because he worked much faster than I. He's in Heaven now, and knows the answers to many of the questions I still have about our ancestors--always a step ahead of me. Thank you.
David Edward Nichols

|Dale Coletta||RE: Email|
Frances, thank you so very much for this information. Please do send me the articles regarding Robert Andrew and Hannah.
|Dale Coletta||Rosetta Bailey Hampton|
Rosetta's father was Robert Andrew Bailey who died in 1942 from suicide and whose burial place is unknown to me. Her mother, Hannah Bradford Bailey Hammett, was my great aunt.
Thank you for all that you do.

|Marley Lowe||RE: Ronnie Gene Burchfield|
Thank you so much Frances for informing me of my Burchfield lineage. I'm going to add in some new names beyond Alden Howell Burchfield. I am also curios about Anna McKinney and if we're related to the McKinneys at all besides Nathan's wife.
|JoAnn Blunt||RE: Re: William Harvey Rogers|
Thanks for the reply Frances! That is probably the answer. My Grandmother Ethel was 13 (and the oldest) at the time of America's death in child birth. She went back to Swain Co. NC to live with America's parents then. There were younger siblings so I always wondered who took care of them. Ethel died in 1973 before I started genealogy. My mother knew nothing about Harve Rogers so I'm guessing he was the "black sheep" in the family. I will keep digging!
|Marley Lowe||Close Burchfield decendant|
Hello Frances, my name is Marley Lowe and I am the eldest grandchild of Ronnie Gene Burchfield. I am doing genealogy on his family tree and I am asking you if you know his relationship to Nathaniel Burchfield who married Anna McKinney. I saw that you posted on both groups of families and I just thought maybe we're all cousins. I hope to hear from you soon and thank you.
|JoAnn Blunt||William Harvey Rogers & America Bailey|
Hi Frances: William Harvey & America were my gr-grandparents. America died Jan 14 1922 in Colquitt Co. GA. Several years ago we went to the court house in Colquitt & found a marriage record for W.H. Rogers & Annie Smith on Jul 2 1922. He had several small children so it stands to reason he would be looking for a caregiver for them. In the 1930 census he is listed a a widow. Have you found anything about a marriage for him before he married Rosetta about 1945? Thanks for any info you can provide. JoAnn Blunt
|John "J-Cat" Griffith||RE: Frank Case #80383873|
Hello Frances, thanks for contacting me in regards to the memorial for Frank Case. As for the Jefferson Barracks Nat. Cemetery photo posted, if you look at any of the listing in that cemetery, you'll notice they all have my entrance photo posted. Entrance photos are on just about every cemetery listed on Find a Grave. They don't count towards the number of photos posted in bio page. The normal number for photos posted on a non famous tribute is five. However if you or anyone were to sponsor Case's memorial page for $5, Find a Grave increases the photo count to 20 pictures and that would solve this problem. This option can be explained by clicking on learn more about removing the ads from this memorial link at the top of the bio. Best always,

Frances, you are my cousin! Ive heard my Granny speak of Aunt Sally a million times. She was the sister of my grandpa, Charles Henderson Ditmore. You can join the Ditmore clan and get tons of genealogy if you dont already have it. Reba is my mother. ;) 💖 Nan Wall Hay
