Hi, I have been doing genealogy for many years. My grandmother sparked my interest when I was a young girl and then gave all her work to other people. I remember a lot of it though and by the time I was 30 my interest was strong, so I've been actively working on it for about 44 years. I work on all my lines , so my files are really big.- mostly French Canada and New England. Dad's are French Canadian ( Fayette and Charland) and New England (Sherwin, Cole, Hill, Richardson, Shurtleff, Pike, Wilson etc. and then across the ocean. Mom's take me a little differemt route into New Enland with Emery, Shatswell, Ladd,Heath and other lines and her paternal ( Tamer) lines bring me into Syria/Lebanon where it is very hard to find anyone.|
My husband was killed in an accident in 1996 and one year and 11 days later, my youngest daughter and her unborn son died with cancer. took lots of prayers to get through that. So, I began study to become a lay minister through the Diocese of Ogdensburg and was commissioned 2 years later. For 10 years my ministry (in Peru)was caring for people in throes of grief for a deceased family member. In 2007, I moved back to Plattsburgh and resigned my committee.
One of my favorite hobbies is walking through cemeteries, sometimes with a camera, sometimes not. Guess I need to remember to grab the shutters a little more often.
I try to get some cemetery photos but at the moment am having lots of arthritis pain and can't do this as often as I would like. Sorry, can't do more.

My wife is the 6th great grandniece of Samuel Manning and Abigail Avery. You are a closer relative so I am transferring their memorials to you.
You asked me to add Abigail Manning Sherwin as their child. I cannot do this. Only the person with control of the memorial can do that. You will have to add her to her parents.

I am proud to transfer your folks to you!
|Bruce Coyne||RE: Hillyard|
Thank you so much for the transfers. Are you related to Stephen Greely Spaulding, 121802409?
|Bruce Coyne||RE: Hillyard|
As a member of the sons of the American Revolution, I'm researching Rev Vet burials. That's how I found Joseph's and his wifes. I'd be proud to manage them if you would want to transfer them to me, 47569362.
Thanks for creating the memorials.
|Bob Snyder||RE: Robidou|
I don't have the genealogy book, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you
|Deb Curry||RE: Nancy Canfield|
I am directly related to the Sackett family so Alzina Canfield would be my 8th cousin 3x removed.
|Deb Curry||Nancy Canfield|
Find A Grave Memorial# 95156281 for Nancy Canfield has a gravestone marked Russell Emery. Is the wrong picture on her memorial??
|Elizabeth Davis||RE: Abijah Willson, Jr.|
Fantastic! The Abijah Willson, Allen, Parrish, and Cudworth connections are so tight. How about any local Arnold, Stafford, or Arthur family? They're all cousins through Allen or Arnold of Harkness. My mom moved west to help with the baby, so I don't have a Clinton County helper anymore. Is your research progressing?
Thank you so much. Are you giving me permission to share that info on my Read/Sherwin memorials on findagrave? Anyway I am excited to get info on them.

I think I am related through one of the Sherwin wife's who married a Read. Not quite sure at this point.
