I have always taken an interest in history and genealogy which I inherited from my gr-grandfather Porter Matteson. I find this site helps me to help others find their loved ones, even if they can't actually visit the graves. I enjoy helping with this mission. My goal is to eventually have most of the tombstones in McLennan County, Texas online for everyone to see.|
I am willing to do some research if needed in McLennan and Falls County.

|deanna french||Falls Co Tx.. photo H.G.Carter|
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Harvey G.Carter was one such soldier. he was born in Weston, Vermont, and later went west and joined the Confederate Calv. Although on opposite sides as most Vermonters, we honor him for fighting for what he believed in. I am asking you if I could use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to be posted on the Vt. C.W. site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for consideration on this.

Thank you for transferring Gloria's Memorial Page to me. She was such a kind person. We went to high school together and she was my best friend. When I married, I asked her to be my maid of honor. There isn't one negative thing I could say about her. She was a dedicated Christian woman.

I want to sincerely thank you for the great kindness and generosity you've shown in transferring Frances to us. Known in the family as Frances, she is actually named for my Great Grandmother, her Grandmother, Martha Jane Franklin Whitfield. Frances couldn't have children of her own, is an only child who was also divorced, and now I feel that we have her back with us instead of out there sort of alone. It was just so very nice of you to make the transfer. Thank you very sweetly, Nancy

I just want to tell you that this transfer means SO MUCH to us! I know you work hard and your contribute an enormous volume of work to Find a Grave and therefore, to the general public. I know it's a Labor of Love. It was very, very kind and generous of you to let me manage this memorial, and it gives my Mother great pleasure. She is 95 and this is something she can help me with, and I can share it with her from my iPad. We appreciate this act of kindness. There are others who will not even transfer her sisters to us and that is very hard to understand. Warm Regards, Friend, Nancy
Thank you so much for transferring Morgan to me and all of your hard work. You made my day! Nan
