I am helping my mother with her genealogy research by locating our ancestors' graves. Then, I got involved with several friends, helping them create their trees and memorials. You can see the names we are following in my virtual cemeteries. Along the way, I have found others' ancestors and created their pages. Now I have documented our ancestry to Col. Daniel Boone which was very interesting. And, finding the "Women of the American Revolution." Next trying to break down several "brick walls."

If I have entered any information that is incorrect, please contact me for a correction. I want to keep the information as accurate as possible.

I'm happy to transfer management to family members, just ask! Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so and remember to give your member# along with your relationship or reason for the transfer.

I believe that memorials should belong to family members whenever possible, as family have a personal interest in honoring their relatives and are better able to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. I am more than willing to have family members "adopt" them.

Please feel free to use any photos I have posted in your research work. Photo courtesy of Find-a-grave member #47361005

RE: Mathias Wisner
Thank you for your response! I would be most interested in viewing your family tree on Ancestry. I don't really do too much research on the Wisners as they're not my direct line, but they ARE my grandchildren's paternal line. The grandchildren are in their early 20s and are just kind of getting interested in their family genealogy. I'm hoping the genealogy "bug" will bit them soon, lol!

On another topic, I'm just curious as to how you feel about the "new" Personally, I do not like it and I WISH they would just allow us to continue using the "old" However, it seems the people at don't really care what their subscribers want. Such a shame.

RE: Daniel Boone - - -
You're very welcome. Two excellent biographies of Boone are by Robert Morgan and John Mack Faragher - - on Amazon for pennies. Daniel himself wrote one, but it was lost in a canoe accident and washed down the Ohio River. He didn't redo it. You should join the Boone Society - a really serious research outfit on the family. Happy Thanksgiving - - cb

RE: re: Carrie Smith burial memorial #155364251
Correct. For their Long Beach location, the Forest Lawn web site has only a very small fraction of the graves on-line. Their records are primarily on paper in multiple different files. You can call their central phone number (covers all Forest Lawn locations in the Los Angeles area) and ask for Long Beach records. They will transfer you and then you can ask of a grave look-up. Even then, they often can't find the record. Calling a second or third time (with perhaps a week in between) may be needed before they can find the correct record. The more data you can provide (date of burial, ground or mausoleum interment, full name) the higher the probability of success.

Once you have a location, section and plot maps are available at:

RE: Lundy headstone photos
You are very welcome. The stones at Quaker Hill are mostly in bad shape, and difficult to read.

My first cousin once removed, Juanita DeBolt (1905-1992) married Lloyd Lundy (1905-1969). I believe they were divorced. We lived a few miles from her son Gwayne Lundy and his family when I was a small child.

RE: George Lance
Thanks, yes I had that. As you say, no burial place. I've read all the Hunterdon Democrat & Hunterdon Republican and no mention of his death in either. So annoying. Like so many others I'm trying to find. All died or disappeared and nothing mentioned in the papers. A few that I have found in the news actually surprised me, not expecting anything on 'them'. hmmm.

Just thinking on Joseph's parents. His mother, Sarah Conover, born 1821. In 1880, Joseph's wife, Margaret Sutton, was with Morris Conover b. 1829 & wife Elizabeth Sutton. I haven't recorded Morris' siblings, but I do know that his parents were David & Sarah. Will go look these people up some more. I'm wondering, if possibly Morris was a brother to Joseph Lance's mother. Wife Margaret Sutton was orphaned when her mother died in 1869 and her father John Sutton disappeared after the conception of Margaret (erm, presuming it was him), which would be in January 1864, because Margaret was born in September. Not one trace of John after this. There is an entry on the May 1865 IRS tax file, of a carriage belonging to a John Sutton. Has note to the side of the entry, "Not collectable". ?!? See! Even the IRS/tax man couldn't find him! LOL.

Margaret's brother, Cleophas, was with Aaron Sutton in 1880, over in Luzerne PA, while little sister Margaret, as I said was with Morris Conover & wife Elizabeth Sutton. Elizabeth was a known daughter of Philip Sutton & Elizabeth Hoffman. Aaron's death certificate has that his father was also Philip. So, with John's two youngest children with those siblings, I'm wondering if John was a brother to them. Philip has a mark in the 1830 & 1840 census' for a son that is the right age, but no one knows who he was. No one knows who John Sutton's parents were, except this one possible clue. Now, here's Joseph's mother, a Conover, who might be a sister, or at least likely related, to Morris Conover of whom Joseph's wife had been with.

The more I work on these people the more tangles it produces. I've got a 'slew' of more tangles that I won't even try to mention.

And my husband wonders at all the coffee I drink. ^_^

Capt. Samuel Moore
Thank you for the updated information on Capt. Moore. I have added it to his bio, and given you a link.

It is terrific to have this additional information about my husband's 7th Great Grandfather.
