Thank you so very much for the wonderful photographs! They were perfect. It means so much to be able to see a loved one's burial site. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

Thank-you very much Eddie for the grave marker picture for Lyman Foster in Oak Grove Cemetery in Portsmouth, VA. I appreciate it.

I had a photo of the marker on the memorial until the sale of Find-A-Grave to Ancestry. At my request, Jim Tipton removed all of my photos because I did not like the terms of service Ancestry has regarding photos. I created the memorials 5 or 6 years ago in the cemetery from the photos I took not from a transcription. If my memory serves me, this one was was on the left if looking from Hwy 84 under a bunch of tree 'trash' of leaves and dirt. Some of the older stones I had pictures of have been replaces with newer ones and the old ones broken and scattered among the base of the trees. The building of the new "Welcome to Hinesville" sign has encroached on the cemetery ans even spilled into the cemetery itself if family would care to check it out. I don't THINK they disturbed markers or graves but I don't know for sure.

I will not delete this memorial as there is a marker in the cemetery. It is 2 miles from my house and yes, a marker is in this cemetery as well. You figure out which is the REAL burial and which is a cenotaph, and the cenotaph can be marked as such. ;)

Thanks very much for the photos of Jonah Venning's gravesite. Any idea who his parents were? He was my great-great grandfather.
