Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE NOTE: If you send a "please transfer this memorial to me", without any other information as to why I should do that, your email will simply be deleted and forgotten about. Also send them thru the EDIT tab, not on the message board!!! And please remember the 4 generation rule that Find A Grave uses.

If I have duplicated your entry, please let me know and any additions or corrections will be gladly accepted. Please submit them through the edit tab above the photo on the memorial page.

Any bio you submit will be revised to abide by the rules of Find A Grave and please list the name of the original publication. Just because other contributors are breaking the rules doesn't make it correct. I probably have some that are wrong myself which I will correct as found.

Augusta Schmid Abel. Magnolia, Ohio
Good morning, Barbara, I have been trying to connect I.W. Abel to my mother in law, marguerite Schmid Greenisen. She referred to him as her second cousin. His father, John was an officer of the Schmid Reunion which was the descendants of Ernst and Margaretha Diener Schmid. You indicated that Ernest was Augusta's father. Can you tell me where you obtained that information? Augusta could have been the sister of the Ernst that was my husband's ancestor but perhaps their father was also Ernst. I have not found anyone in the family that can make a connection.

Could you please delete this memorial for Elaine, she is not dead. Her husband passed some time ago and as many do she had her name added to the stone for the future. Thank you. (as confirmation please note Elaine is my son in law's grandmother)

Hannah K Knotts Moreland
Hannah Knotts Miller Moreland was the daughter of James Miller and Rachel Knotts. She was a twin to Druscilla M Miller. She must have been given her mother's maiden name as her middle name. I have linked Hannah to her father but have been unable to find where her mother was buried. The Knotts and Millers married through several families in Ohio. James Miller was the son of Isaac Miller who has an interesting history in Ohio. Just trying to correct a mistake that was made easily. Please don't be offended.

Request
Hi Barbara,

Are you in the area of Waynesburg, Ohio?
I have a family cemetery I have asked several people to photograph and I am not sure why they don't follow-through.
I do realize that it is on land owners property but it looks to have easy access that no one would have to cross through to get to it. I don't know if the others are afraid to ask or if the owners are not willing but either way - no one gets back to me.
Is is possible for you to see if you can photograph it?

Thank you,
Shana
