Bio Photo Hi everyone,

I am using the new "edit" feature that Find A Grave has added so feel free to send information to me this way if you'd like.

If you find a memorial that I have and have additonal information or corrections you'd like me to add feel free to send the information through the memorial. I'm always happy to add the additonal information that you provide. If there is a memorial or memorials you'd like transferred over to you just let me know.

(~~I'm personally okay transferring memorials no matter the relationship; Even if you're not related to the person you're requesting.)

Robert Widdowfield
Hello Amanda, There is no information or evidence that Robert Widdowfield was ever a deputy sherrif in Carbon County Wyoming. He was a coal miner, along with my great grandfather, and a group of miners accompanied Tip Vincent, UP railroad detective, from Carbon to Percy while tracking the men who attempted to wreck a train at nearby Como. The detective asked the rest of the men to turn back and deputized one man, Widdowfield, to accompany him to follow the tracks. Widdowfiled and Vincent were killed near Rattlesnake on the north side of Elk Mountain while tracking the bad guys. Legend turned Widdowfield into a deputy sheriff but I have never found any records to substantiate this. He was working as a coal miner at the time.

Correction for memorial 40991094
Amanda. Thank you for maintaining this memorial for my father, George Arthur Strasser. My father only had one wife, Wilma Earl. Another wife, Thelma Higley Whitney, has been added to his memorial but that is wrong. Can you remove her information? Also he did not serve in the Vietnam war. He served in the Army in World War II. Thank you so much for your help. Virginia Jensen

Memorial Transfer
Hello Amanda.

My name is Jerry Byington, my wife is Ilene Weekes. She was married to James Samargis (still living), who's father is James Samargis and mother is Naomi Samargis. You manage both of these memorials.

We were wondering if you'd transfer those two memorials (James - 98454615) and Naomi (98454652) to us. As her son, Royce, hasn't had much interest in the past, but now has a "spark", we'd like to surprise him with this information. We find that there are about 10 Samargis memorials in Idaho, and they are all related.

Thanks,... Jerry Byington

They were taken in 1995 by uncle who has pass away so I can not ask him which cemetery. If my mom remembers, I will let you know. I am adding the photos to the memorials, Ignac and Antonia but am not sure how to make a memorial for Willard R Peshak. My email address is

Baldwin Fox Brown and Anneke Jans
Hi, That is a lovely write up about my great Uncle Baldwin. He was a very successful man. The family in New York was not quite so prosperous.

After a bunch of research and reading through Quaker Monthly Meeting transcripts, I have had to discard the fact that this Brown family descends from Anneke Jans. The problem is with the name of James Brown. There are too many of guys named James Brown. Two of them were Quakers one married Elizabeth Booth and the other married Elizabeth Drake. Our Browns descend from Miss Drake and she was not a descendant of Anneke Jans. The parents don't have the right dates to have that be possible. Alas. I was disappointed, but that is the fact of it.
