I enjoy taking and posting photos.

Cemetery walking involves planning, time, gas, bees, flies, gnats, ticks, assorted other bugs, dogs, burrs, briars, weeds, tall grass, snakes, scrapes, cuts, mud, dirt, snow, rain, dust, wind, sun, rutted roads, hills and dales, getting lost, and BUCKETS of sweat.

I had to throw my lunch to a couple wild peacocks headed my way. Seems they have a fondness for egg salad.

I appreciate those folks who list their source when posting my photos to Ancestry.com :)

Thank you! My grandmother had thought the stillbirth was a boy, so I wanted to check. I appreciate the quick reply!

RE: Copperas Creek Cemetery
Hi Debra,

It is too bad that the landowner, who was a church trustee, destroyed this church cemetery. I would still like to know where all of the stones have gone. Have a good Christmas!

RE: George & Florence Tawzer
Hey Debra- I have no need to manage these memorials. Keep them or transfer them. The important thing is to have them for descendants to find. The people are not my direct line. I have a couple dozen photos for these folks because back in 2012 I got a message thru Ancestry from a man who had noted a bunch of old photos belonging to Tawzer-Switzer in an antiques store in IL and thought it a shame that the photos would be bought by non-family. He noted that I had a lot of Tawzer and Switzer family members on my tree and wondered if I would be interested in them.

Originally there were over 50 photos but by the time I was contacted half had been sold to collectors of old pictures. I bought the rest. None are direct line ancestors but I wanted to keep them together and post them on my tree and Find A Grave for descendants to discover.

I will always be sorry that half the photos were lost to me.

Rita
