Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.

Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams. The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.

I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.

Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Good Hunting!

Very happy to transfer your cousin, and loved the story! I have a not-so-distant cousin that was shot and killed trying to escape prison in Raleigh in the 40's.

RE: Jones and Phillips
Rick, I just received your reply. The problem is that I cannot remember what I asked of you. I do have family in Old Cornish Cemetey just down road from Oscar and Ringling. Mind refreshing my mind? I have cousin,Clara Dell Phillips who used to be married to John Cummings. Her pas.: John Phillips/Cordelia C/ Jones. Does that sound familar?

Sorry for the confusion. I see you figured it out. I had my clipboard loaded incorrectly when I pasted the ids.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Wes Rose or Fose
Hi Rick,

I am glad to hear from you. I actually meant to post you a message and thank you in advance for the number of edits I have been sending you over the last several months as I work on this cemetery.

The stones are cast in concrete and I would say that now at least 80% are broken from lawnmowing. They just run right over them. They are disappearing fast and I'm in my 4th month trying to get what's left documented. They are extremely hard to read and I piece together lot numbers and the online list with pieces of stone to get every stone listed I can.

Thank you for all the edit work that comes your way over this. I do appreciate it. Heather
