Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.

Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.

I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.

Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Good Hunting!

Pennington dupes
Your are probably right in that regard. Oscar cemetery is near where I grew up. I was trying to determine if it were worth my while to go down there and photograph it again to see if we could reach a higher percentage on it being nearly 100% photographed. However, life just keeps getting in the way of doing fun things.

RE: Homer Page Godbey
Hi Rick,

Mr. Godbey's Texas Death Certificate 44535 list the burial on May 5, 1984 in Mount Olivet Cemetery. His headstone in Mount Olivet does have the dates as well. Sorry but, I don't know the section. If you call the cemetery at 817-831-0511 for a location, I would be happy to get you a picture.

If you need a copy of the death certificate, please let me know.

Reorienting photos
Thanks for a reply on side lying photo presentations. Had not given this much thought. Any of mine which were on the side were usually my fault and easily corrected. If the photo's size
(too large) is not the issue, can't imagine what may be going on. I do know that when photo problems occur, Find A Grave admin can resolve. But, if there are many, likely they'll defer and give the contributor a fix. Best of regards and thanks for your input at this site. Good luck in resolving the issue. Let me know if you do.

RE: Martha Chesher
Thanks Rick, I will take care of Joseph and Florence (Chesher) Kinder till a descendant ask for them, I see you already have a heavy load of memorials to take care of. I ran across Florence (Chesher) Kinder while researching the Chesher family in Grainger and Knox counties so I do have some info on her and others in her family. Thanks for your help and the transfers.

Thank You So Much
I can't thank you enough for the transfer of the memorial for Napoleon Bonapart Weant at Temple Masonic Cemetery, Cotton County, Oklahoma. I have already added a bio, etc., and linked him to his father and wife.
Thank you for creating his memorial and for all that you continue to do. I will take good care of him.
