Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.

Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.

I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.

Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Good Hunting!

Rick, your Email doesn't seem to work, so I'll try sending it through the messaging system:

Regarding the 2 burial places in Raseiniai that you established in the Findagrave system:

Raseiniai Kapines

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery

You did quite a bit of work. I visited both places last week, took some photos and GPS readings, and uploaded this material. While doing so, I noticed that quite a few of your photos were displaying online at a 90 angle. Just a tip, I have found it useful to rotate upright photos 360 on my own photo software first before uploading, and that seems to cause them to display correctly after they are online.

Also, you have named the burial place of the 4 priests buried on the church compound after the religious name of the church, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Except in Vilnius and Kaunas where there are multiple churches in the same city, few people in Lithuania would differentiate individual churches this way, and would most commonly refer to them simply by their town location, such as "Raseiniai Church" (or "Raseiniu Baznycia" if you prefer the Lithuanian). I have also used the term "Churchyard" for burials on clearly-delineated church property.

I'm impressed with the length and breadth of your contributions to Findagrave. I'm curious, what brought about your interest in Lithuania? I'm a third-generation Lithuanian-American and HUD retiree now living in Lithuania. GREG SEVELIS 9/17 11:05AM Kaunas

Correction to Memorial
My Aunt is Ozella Adams Perry, Memorial No. 103301689. Some how Memorial No. 45001176 got linked to her memorial as a spouse. Not true. Please unlink the two memorials. Ozella has only one husband, Chester R. Perry. Thank You. Harry Hall

RE: W B Wylie
At 78? Wow!!
I can't find these people anywhere, so I have no idea who they are. I just thought it was an odd coincidence that the 2 men had the same birth and death years. Maybe someday I'll come across more info on them.
Thanks for your response!

Wylie family
You added 3 (W.B., Terrassie and their daughter Mable) Wylie's a few years ago.
Do you have any more info on them? And could you tell me where you found their graves?
I have a scribbled note about them and had doubts whether W.B. is Mabel's father due to his age at her birth (63). We do have a William Brownlee Wylie in the cemetery at Tazewell, and he has the same year of birth and death, but different days. I think I was trying to figure out who he was when I went off on a tangent with these but couldn't figure them out either.
