FAG #145034165 W G Clough
I’m wondering if you have any additional information on this. Specifically, regarding Waynal/Wm G Clough/Cluff. I have his father, Frederic and his first wife Martha Goodwin living in the 1850 US Census in Lyman, York, Maine with children Laura & George both born b. 1850. Martha dies in 1858. It appears that Frederic remarries Almira Blake Sanborn after Martha’s death. Frederic and Almira are seen with children from his previous marriage (Laura, George & Leona) as well as a child seen as William G Cluff Clough in the 1860 Census in Waterboro, Maine. So my point is if Martha Goodwin, Frederic’s first wife, didn’t die until 1858 then Waynal Greenleaf Cluff/Clough (aka Wm G in 1860 Census) couldn’t be Almira Blake Sanborn’s son …. Everything else lines up. .

So it seems there are a couple of things possibly at play here:
1) There were two Frederic Cluff/Clough families living in Lyman, York, Maine in the 1850s – one married to Martha Goodwin and one married to Almira Blake Sanborn.
2) The Wm Cluff/Clough son of Frederic Clough and Almira Clough living in Waterboro in the 1860s is NOT the same Wm Cluff/Clough living w/Frederic and Martha in Lyman in the 1850s
3) The Wm Cluff/Clough in the 1850 Lyman, ME and 1860 Waterboro, ME US Census living with father Frederic is not Waynal Greenleaf Cluff/Clough
4) Everyone that has Waynal Greenleaf Cluff/Clough the son of Frederic Cluff/Clough and Almira Sanborn is wrong
5) My information on this lineage is completely wrong.

Any ideas?

RE: William & Barbara Rex
I apologize for not responding sooner. I was ill most of the month of June, and am trying to catch up.

No, I was not asking you to add that they attended Satellite High, because they DID NOT. Their daughter did, but somebody else created her memorial. I was trying to provide you with the information to complete their memorials. If you have any kind of paid subscription to ancestry.com, you should be able to see the family tree profiles. You should not have to upgrade. However, if you only have a "free" account at ancestry.com, then you will need to be invited to the tree in order to see the profiles. Since you have created quite a few memorials for families I am researching, I am more than happy to send you the invite to see the tree. I just need your ancestry.com user name.

Meanwhile, here is the information I was trying to provide to you for William and Barbara Rex;

**************************************
Barbara Seidl Rex:

BIRTH: 23 FEB 1930 • Mount Clemens, Macomb, Michigan, USA
DEATH: 3 JUN 1985 • Melbourne, Brevard, Florida, USA

Her Obituary, was published in Florida Today, 5 Jun 1985, if you want to transcribe it for her memorial.

**************************************

William "Richard" Rex:

BIRTH: 3 JUL 1927 • Warren, Trumbull, Ohio, USA
DEATH: 25 MAY 1975 • Brevard County, Florida, USA

His Obituary, was published in Florida Today, 28 May 1975, if you want to transcribe it for his memorial.

**************************************
Note: It is against FindAGrave rules to post hyperlinks to obituaries. However, you can transcribe obituaries. Some people think the rules say they can't copy obituaries because of copyright laws, but that isn't true: "Copyright protects an artist's personal expression of concepts, but not ideas, concepts, systems or factual information in the work." Source.

Think about a typical obituary:

Johnny Smith was born in Anytown, USA on January 15, 1912. He died at home on April 16, 1972. He was employed at XYZ company. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary, daughters, Sue, Ellen and Jane, and sons Larry, Curley and Moe. His funeral will be on April 18, 1972, at ABC Funeral Home. He will be buried at Memorial Cemetery.

Where's the original idea or personal expression?

**************************************
As much as I would like to key edits and transcribe obituaries for all the families I am researching, I simply do not have the time. My main focus is those who have a direct association to Satellite High School. In the process of researching their family trees, I'm finding a lot of information that would complete existing memorials. I am providing the information I find to whoever is maintaining the memorials. It's up to you whether you want to spend the time completing your work.

I am t related to him but I am trying to locate his son John William "Jackie" Pole. Who I knew when I lived in Franklin, Kentucky. If you have any information on him I would appreciate it. Do you have the obituary for John Henry Pole and his wife? Thanks for your help.

RE: James Redecker
My FLHP has been civilianized with a 2-up seat. Still comfortable though. I don't yet have the ability to be quite as adventurous and well traveled as you but I hope to be someday.

It sure is a small world. We should ride together sometime! I've got an 03 FLHP. I should be up around the lake later this summer.
