Farmer's Daughters
RE: Krainik
Elsie is my 2nd cousin. Her maiden name is SCHMIT--no "d". There were quite a few Schmit family members in Grant County, WI. The Gockel Cemetery has several in it.

Are you related to Earl Joseph Krainik and Elsie Theresa Schmit? Elsie was my 2nd cousin.

RE: photo use
Thanks Steph! Kenneth Henry Marvin Dain (son of Hulda nee Hedtke & Marvin Dain) was my mother's first cousin. I am researching Hedtke descendants and am missing quite a bit on Hulda's side, so I'm thrilled to get a copy of this picture! Was it taken at their 50th wedding anniversary? On this photo he resembles so much the grandsons of Amelia nee Hedtke Bonikowske. Amelia was sister to Hulda's father. You may email me direct: for more family history.

I have been researching Marie and Elizabeth Luft. I think you remember me talking about them. I found some old Newspapers on them and discovered that when they were murdered, they lived in Dayton, wisconsin. I am really wanting some pictures of both Mother and daughter to put on findagrave but I keep running into a wall there. It is strange that as famous a case as this was, there were no pictures in the newspapers of them. I have established that they lived in oshkosh from 1901 to 1910 and moved to waupaca county in 1910. My question is, do you know if there was a school in dayton at that time or did they go to Waupaca? I am wondering if they had a school yearbook, etc.

I appreciate all you have done for me and since you took this picture, could you tell me the year on this headstone since the flower is covering it up and I need to add it to my memorial if possible. Do not make a special trip if you do not remember it but if you go there for some other reason, do you mind checking it?
