Atlanta, Georgia native saluting the contributions of known and unknown individuals, pacifically the fundamental role that African American's have played in the making of the American republic. Many of these known and unknown individuals broke barriers in the political, educational and entertainment arenas, as well as built up their communities, and achieved beyond what others deemed impossible. All saluted, from the famous to the obscure, deserve our gratitude, for their lives clearly demonstrate in some way-through perseverance, fortitude and hard work that people can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles to fulfill their dreams and share their gifts with the world. Find A Grave provides all of us a opportunity to learn about some of these individuals behind the struggles and triumphs that have helped shape the world in which we live. My hope is that more people will become more aware of the contributions that many of these individuals have made.|
Death teaches us to remember the things that matter the most.
Thank you to everyone who leaves tokens of remembrance for my memorials, especially my loved ones. Also a special thank you to those who have sponsored memorials of my deceased relatives. God Bless!

|Beverly Joe Vaughn||RE: Re: Gravesite|
AWESOME!! Thanks so much! Someone took a lot of time an effort to make her stone. Some of my ancestors have handmade stones. A few have been replaced but we've all voted to leave the original there and just add the new.
Thanks for letting me know.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
|Beverly Joe Vaughn||RE: Thank You|
Is there any way you can get a pic of it. I have some family buried in cemeteries that are kept up. I don't live near them so it's not easy to get anything done to help the situation.
Would love to see a pic of her stone. Have you submitted a request for a pic of it?
take care, Bev ~:}
|Beverly Joe Vaughn||RE: Thank You|
You're so very welcome! Daddy was born in June of 1918, just a month after she died from that horrible flu pandemic. I read a book last year about that flu and the number of people that died in those few years is mind blowing. I'd never heard the real story I guess. In so many cemeteries I visit I see what seems like the graves of whole families that died around the time she passed. So sad.
Does your gr gram not have a stone?
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
|Jackson Zeigler||Mark Middlebrooks, Sr.|
Got a chance to get in contact with one of Mark's daughters. Will share information with you as I get so you can update the memorial with photos and such.
I also created a memorial for Stephen Middlebrooks. It is Memorial# 138829925 if you want to check it out.
|Jackson Zeigler||Ethel Middlebrooks Hardison|
When you get a chance, will you link Ethel (Memorial# 109072146) with Eugene and Julia Middlebrooks?
Hope all is well with you.
|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Curtis, thank you for your kind words. They are very much appreciated.
Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends, Traci now has 5,134 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is still almost 3 weeks away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We appreciate you all so much.
I'm in awe! To show you more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,
"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have know".
Traci was a person of strong faith, and GOD took excellent care of her, and helped her through all her hardships! Her faith never waivered.
GOD, bless them all, and thank you for your wonderful gift of Traci.
We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. I will try to get to everyone's site and leave a flower/token for at least one of their loved ones. However, there are so many of you, it will take me a while.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
