I live just outside of Gettysburg,Pa. I enjoy doing family research. Most of the memorials I maintain are relatives, some close, some very distant, most are related to me in some way, some not at all. I will gladly transfer memorials of those not related to me or family if you are more closely related and have more info. to add.|
I would like to thank all of you that are so kind to leave token's for my family and those that take the time to fulfill my photo requests. It is much appreciated!
Any of my headstone photos may be used anywhere you'd like. I only ask that you give me proper credit for the photo. I use ancestry and have added many photos from this site to my tree- with permission first and I give credit to the photographer. I feel it's the right thing to do as these volunteers spend a lot of time going out, finding the graves, photographing and posting them and I appreciate every one of them. Giving them proper credit is the least you can do.

Thank You so much Karen for the great photos from Oak Lawn Cemetery. Your help is much appreciated.
If there are others you are looking for let me know and if they are there I will go hunt for them. There are still about 200 that don't have pictures but I am going on vacation in a week and had to quit. I will be back on it when I get back. Feel free to email me direct at email@example.com
|Jennifer O'Neil||Leslie Zeger|
All my life I remember an oval picture hanging in my relatives' homes of a WWI soldier and it always interested me and made me sad when I heard he died in the war. In recent years I decided I wanted to find out more about him and then decided I wanted to honor him by visiting his grave - that's how he got on my " bucket list".
My grandfather was Jacob Zeger, brother to Leslie Zeger, the WWI soldier, so he would have been my great uncle.
My husband and I made plans and reservations to visit his grave; the week before we left (we flew to France on May 31st) I found your information! And I was thrilled that someone else was interested in him. We took a day long tour from Paris with a guide who had his Master's degree in WWI history and we visited many of the monuments and battle sites; we did get to Meuse -Argonne Cemetery and went to Leslie's grave. I don't know if any of the other relatives have ever been there but we can say that one has been there to honor him now. I have pictures ; if you tell me how to send them to you, I'd be happy to. I also have a copy of his full length picture in his uniform.Jennifer Jones O'Neil Mercersburg PS my email is

You sure can copy my picture and any others you want. This is about preserving history & giving to families, not glory for me. Enjoy! You appreciating what I am doing made my day. :)

I would do the same. Yes! add the photo with a note.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for doing this .

Karen, go ahead and post whatever pictures you want. I assume you took a better picture of the stone than I have. I can't get down on my knees anymore so I seldom do to many pictures at this point unless they are flat.
Let me know if I can correct anything else.

Hi Karen, Yes Robert Rowe was my cousin. His grandparents, Bob and Eleanor Rowe were my aunt and uncle. Aunt Eleanor was a sister to my Dad, Daniel Bricker. I don't have any further information on him, other than what is in his obituary. Didn't have much contact with him once he moved away from home.
Thanks for asking! Hugs, Bonnie

Thank you Karen for noticing this. I will have to look at this closer to determine which one to keep and which to delete unless you have some input. I think I might have found the one on some info that I posted the memorial and the other I found the stone first and then posted. I noticed some date variations. I am at work now and need to get home.
