PLEASE TAKE NOTE...
This statement is being posted because wrong information came to me in a "suggestion", the addition was made only to have DOCUMENTED PROOF e-mailed to me by another family member. I will not get in a family battle over mis-spelled names, incorrect dates or middle names. Ergo:
ENTRIES TO THIS DATABASE ARE TRANSCRIBED WORD-FOR-WORD TO THE BEST OF MY ABILIY TO READ THE INSCRIPTION ON THE STONE. IT IS MY OBLIGATION TO COMPILE THESE RECORDS AS THEY WERE WRITTEN. THESE STONES WERE INSCRIBED BY HUMANS AND MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES AS TO FACT, DATES AND SPELLING DUE TO HUMAN NATURE. I WILL NO LONGER CHANGE THE ACTUAL TRANSCRIPTION OF THE STONE TO ADD MIDDLE INITIALS, MIDDLE NAMES OR MAIDEN NAMES OR TO CORRECT SPELLING.
While this may seem crude to some, I am NOT doing genealogy for the entire country. If proof can be submitted I will add it in the bio section. I am sorry but PROOF is not copied and pasted from ANY genealogy website.
And lastly, there are only 6 known signatures of William Shakespeare and in every one of them HE spelled his name differently. | |

 | Oscar & Robert Howell Hi again. Yes, you are so correct. Thank you for noticing that. I recall that being there now that you showed it to me, but had forgotten. So, what I will do is make a note in the Bio telling people what is going on, so that I don't get emails from people telling me it is the wrong headstone.
Thanks you so much for everything, Lynn. It is so greatly appreciated. You've been so kind & generous with your time. Thank you.

 | Robert Nathanial Howell Hi Lynn,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but last summer you went out to Howell Cemetery & got tons of photos of the cemetery, most of which you transferred to me. (Thank you so much, by the way).
However, in just going over some of those names, I noticed that you have Oscar Howell's headstone on Richard Nathanial Howell's memorial. Richards memorial #89630879. Could you please delete it for me? Hopefully, one day I will get another photo (if he has a headstone) and would love to add that to this memorial.
Trust me, I totally understand how this can happen, as I manage so many memorials.
Also, my dear, I was hoping you might be able to help me in another way. Have you ever seen the name Moses Billings in your travels? He is related to the Jonathan Billings bunch. He was married twice Tabiathy (Tobiathy) Evans and Mary Turner. Just curious. They were married in Schuyler, IL, so assume that they would have remained there, or nearby.
Anyway, if you could keep an eye out for them, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much, once again, for all that you have done for me, I am most grateful. Dee | | | PShannon

 | Hannah "Hattie" Wheelhouse Crump Hi Lynn, Thanks so much for the information for Hattie. I would be glad to transfer her to you, if you want her. Thanks again, PattyAdded by PShannon on Apr 27, 2013 3:31 PM | | | Dan Ryan
 | RE: Henry E Kirkham My sister "Shelly" still lives next door to Kathryn & always gives me updates on her. After our mom passed away Kathryn was a big influence on her & helped her in more ways than I can mention. Next time you see Gene tell him I said hi.

 | RE: Henry E Kirkham You are welcome, glad I could help. Thank you for that great message, it really makes my day. I spent my childhood growing up next door to Hank & Kathryn and I don't believe I ever met a more knowledgeable man. It was an honor to add his photo to his memorial page. If there's ever anything else I can do, pls. don't hesitate!!!

 | HENRY HERMAN BOHNE Thank you so much Lynn. I grew up in Illinois-I do remember the snow well.
Regarding names in wills-I surely get it. Henry Herman's will has his name written 3 different ways in the same document. (Boehne, Böhne, and Bohne)
I believe his name might have been written out fully on the stone because his son's name was Herman Henry Bohne/Boehne born in Cass County-to him and Selina (Beard) Bohne in 1842. (Illinois Civil War Vet.) Hard to keep them straight without DOB.
Also, it might have been written out fully because there was likely another Henry Herman Bohne who was listed in Arthur Crumrins (sp) Old Cass County Cemeteries, 1966 edition.
He was listed as Henry Herman Bohne born in Germany 6-13-1806 died at Beardstown 10-2-1834. My father (now passed) found this record. Dad had written by it, buried at Thomas Beard Cemetery (Bluff Springs.) Interestingly enough October 2, 1834 is when the Bohnes arrived from Germany. The oldest Bohne, age 60, was born sometime around 1876 and is listed as died on board, as per the ship's passenger list.
So who knows? Fun puzzles. And again there are not words to express how grateful many of us are for your work.

 | HENRY HERMAN BOHNE First, thank you so much for your time and effort. You have done so much for others. There aren't words to express my gratitude.
Herman Henry Bohne, died April 8, 1847, is an ancestor of mine. I have a copy of his will in which he leaves everything to his wife Selina Beard Bohne.
I'm trying to figure out our roots in Germnay. Henry Herman Bohne was born in Germany and came to the USA in 1834.
Do you think it's possible for someone, at their convenience, to look at the German writing on the stone? There might be a clue to our German roots. I simply can't see the German lettering--I could easily get it translated. If I'm imposing, please forgive me. I understand no.
I live in Arizona. Thank You, Marsha Baney | | | Anonymous1
 | Edgar Cemetery, Schuyler Co., IL Thank you so much, Lynn! | | | Anonymous1
 | Edgar Cemetery, Schuyler Co., IL I was delighted to find Daniel V. McWilliams in Edgar Cemetery. He was a part of the Elijah McWilliams family, which moved to western MO. I had always hoped to find Daniel's burial place. I see 33 listings at findagrave for Edgar Cemetery. Can you tell me whether it is a small cemetery and that would likely be most of the burials, or would there likely be more? I am hoping to find other members of the McWilliams family. Thanks so much for listing Daniel! | | | | [View all messages...] |
