Retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer with over 29 years of service. I am also the wife of a retired US Army soldier and the mother of a soldier who was injured in Iraq from an IED but was able to complete his tour of duty! SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!!!
If I have a relative of yours I will be more than happy to transfer to you (no matter the Findagrave 'rules' like some people do) unless 1. I have done extensive research; 2. I find that I have previously transferred someone to you and you have not added any information to the transferred memorial which means you do not care to research; 3. The individual is the relative of a person whose family tree I work on, and I have 3 additional friends' trees; or 4. The individual is related to me. Otherwise, all you need do is ask:)
DUE TO ANCESTRY.COM CHANGING FLOWERS ON MEMORIALS WITHOUT SUGGESTION OR WARNING-NO INFORMATION, I REPEAT NO INFORMATION, OR PICTURES I HAVE ADDED TO ANY MEMORIAL CAN BE USED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Findagrave's OWN rules state this is copyrighted to the person who has added it.
For those making suggestions, please research and provide the researched information for me to update. Additionally; 1: If someone has a duplicate memorial, courtesy is to ask that individual to delete it FIRST before asking Findagrave to get involved, and 2. When you receive an edit request please DO NOT update the information you received and then decline the edit you received - that is just NOT cool!
Since my bio was somehow screwed up (and NOT by me), I can't remember all that I had added and I will leave it as is. I hope the mess up was not the work of a contributor who has access to our profiles. I work hard on Findagrave and have sponsored quite a few memorials. Please be a contributor and not just a person who adds names. It's great to see people who provide research.

No there is no marker for him there...therefore he shouldn't have a memorial there...yes he was originally buried there (like many other thousands of soldiers temporary buried there) but was repatriated ...so he should not longer be listed at Henri Chapelle.
Your only supposed to list them if they have a marker there. So therefore it should be removed from the site.

Well between "mowing the rows" and "surfing the net" I've managed to find 180 Veterans buried in Concordia. Included both the gray, Spanish American vets and all the way up to Vietnam. Still have to locate about 50 actual burial sites.

Thanks for the help. It's funny you should tell me your story about the brothers. This family has two brothers--Havener and Hevener. There children married and I had a great grandmother named Laura Hevener Havener. That gets confusing. I have tried to untangle the spellings in my own work so I could find people in my index. It still is a problem. I have Heveners and Haveners and Hevners and Havners and then there are the guys that went Heavner/Heavener--That is another brother. And their are researchers that have stated Haffner.

When I sent 2 dozen requests for the administration to transfer memorials to their relatives I got a response back from administrator Glendon. Here it is;
Response Via Email (Glendon) 01/12/2015 09:48 PM
Thank you for contacting Find A Grave in regards to transferring memorials.
In order for us to look into transferring a memorial we would need the members who would like the memorial(s) to contact us directly.
If you need additional assistance, please feel free to reply to this message.
So maybe you could write to Glendon and put all the memorial numbers to your relatives and request them all. Who knows? It's not like Scott is related to them . . .
If you get any good results please let me know so I can be happy for you too. :)

|M. Saylor||photo request fulfilled|
I just want to express how much I appreciate you fulfilling my request for a headstone photo for Arthur Thurman Boone. I am moved to tears. Thank you ever so much!
|Samantha||Scott Bolliger is inactive|
I see you had left a message on his wall (along with so many others trying to get his attention.)
I wanted to let you know he has finally been declared inactive so at least you know he's not going to take care of any messages you sent him.
