Carl and Gladys Hanton
Hi there. I saw the photos that you added for Carl and Gladys Hanton. Gladys was my grandfather's aunt, but she and Carl adopted my grandfather when he was 3 years old after his mother (her sister) became terminally ill. I have lots of old photos and newspaper articles if you'd like to have copies. Thank you for the lovely photos!

Alexander Love Wilson
JoAnne, thanks so much for taking the time and effort to send to me a copy of the biography of A. L. Wilson from the S.W. Fla. Historical Society. It was very kind of you. I received it today and will send the small copying fee to the Society today as well. You went way beyond what might be expected and I thank you.

Alexander Love Wilson
Thanks for posting the photo of A. L. Wilson. The caption reads, "Alexander Love Wilson was born on a plantation four miles from Quincy in Gadsden County Fl on May 16, 1853. His father's name was Isaac Wilson. Mr Wilson married Mattie C Scarborough of Fadsden county. Together they had one son named Alexander Love Wilson Jr." The second mention of the county should be "Gadsden". What is the source of that photo of A.L. Wilson? It has his signature and is a wonderful portrait. Thanks for posting it.
Also, his mother was Elizabeth Ann Love Wilson.

Thank you very much for posting the photo of Raymond Linhart and Elizabeth Domelle Linhart. I've never seen that close up and it is marvelous.

Rebecca E. Alford/Turner Palmer
You added a family photo to my great-great-great-grandmother Rebecca E. Alford/Turner Palmer's listing #26974571 which is of ancestors of mine. Do I have your permission to save and share the picture in a genealogy group?

Joseph Hooks Final
Joanne - Thank you for your follow-up and your contact with Mr. Born. The book he references was published in 2002 and co-authored by Mr Born and other local historians. Regretfully, it still gives me doubt. Joseph Hooks was the father (not brother) of Olive Jane (mother was Sarah Oxford Hooks) and I suspect the "lengthy article is more about Bridgeman than Hooks. Book is too expensive to purchase, so I may make a side trip to Newton County Library when I return to a warmer Hoosierland this summer. Thanks again for your help.

re: Hooks Photograph
Thanks for responding. Any assistance you can provide is appreciated. That memorial is not in my care, but I feel that this website can be such a valid resource for genealogy that data and postings need an affirmation of fact. Such is especially true with old photographs such as the Hooks pic. Hopefully, you can provide the resolution to my query. Thanks again.
