I have been actively pursuing my passion for genealogy since 1997. When I was a child my parents diligently pored over records in libraries and courthouses during our family vacations to Florida (so boring as a child). Thankfully I've come to respect their interest and value their findings. |
Maternal side: (Iowa and midwest to New England) Hetherington, Scott, Joy, Edwards, Scohy, Hendrix, Jackson, Barrett, Nelson, Clark, Dickinson, Fish, Townsend and so so many more way beyond colonial times and Europe.
Paternal side: (Georgia and southern states) Pearson, Guthrie, Register, Breeden, Head, Catchings, Roby, Register, Dees, Sirmans, Newbern, Rainey, Hill and so so many more.
First husband's side: Puellmann/Pillman, Mestemacher, Sexton, Aydlott, Rhoades.
Second husband's side: (Czechoslovakia, Lebanon, Spain) Belusky, Supej, Masny, Joseph, Landeau.
Third husband's side: just kidding, that's just crazy talk :)
Found a pirate, some "witches", hard working landowners, royalty, and miners. Oh what stories our ancestors could tell us... When we die we become "stories" in the minds of other people. I believe it's our responsibility to document our heritage because once it's forgotten it's gone.

I have sent an edit for 35605675 so that his wife, Mary Jane (Chick) Johnson Perry, 73866956, can show on his page (and by way of Find A Grave's "calculated relationships, show on hers). They were married at her father's home in Howard county, Missouri, May 24, 1834 and served as Methodist missionaries to the Kaw Indians. She learned to speak the Kaw language fluently.
She married Rev. John Thomas Perry, after Rev. William Johnson died in 1844, and they together worked a total of seven years at both the Kaw and Delaware Missions in Kansas.
I have researched this thoroughly and will soon have information online concerning both of these missions and their missionaries.

Heather, I cannot find a Margaret Adams in the Lone Jack Cemetery and Mr. Helmig that keeps all records does not show her being buried here. Perhaps she was cremated and not buried. Would you be able to remove her from Lone Jack's records you can find plot and space records. Thanks

Hi there, Please consider requesting a photo for the memorials you have created in Leavenworth National Cemetery as those requests will help the volunteer photographers locate the gravesites that have not yet been photographed. Thanks so much, Mary Ann
