Additional information and corrections are welcome. If you send SAC's, please have available on your profile page an email address or public message option in case I should need to contact you.

Note: Information about Jacob and Mary Stauffer Varnes and some of their descendants has been taken from the following family history:
THE GENEALOGY OF THE JACOB LEIGHTY FAMILY OF FAYETTE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA by Floyd H. Leighty, Sr., Jan. 1980.

Special thanks to Julie Oliver for recording tombstone information at Bethel Christian Church near Anabel, MO, which has been used in some of the memorials.

Records of Ken O'Neal have been invaluable in creating memorials in East Liberty Presbyterian Cemetery in Vanderbilt, PA.

Elizabeth Ellsberry's Cemetery Records of Macon Co., MO, 1963, has been a great help for memorials in Macon Co., MO.

The research of Tana Willis Johnson, The OATES Family of Northowram and Halifax, has been extremely useful with the Oates line.

I try to follow the FAG guidelines concerning obituaries.

The question of initials in proper names has recently come up. I am trying to follow the FAG guidelines of using a period after a middle initial: "Concerning punctuation in proper names, always use normal English rules, such as always use a period after a Middle Initial."
