I have been a member since 2001. Adding Memorials is a hobby. Walking through cemeteries is also a hobby; seeing old graves and any comments on headstones often times are very interesting.

No one is more qualified to Manage a Memorial than a family member. If I added your family member and you want Management I am more than happy to transfer.
Please do not copy my posted photos without permission

I am a member of a small Church of Christ congregation in east Texas.

God bless.

Thanks Janice. Since she was my Aunt I knew her full name. No confusion and no harm.
Have a good day.

Find A Grave does not discourage the legitimate indexing of the deceased through obituaries or other 3rd party accounts. Newspapers represent a very good source of information as a public record. I am like you trying to do my best not to make duplicates. I do not wish to create any duplicates. I search by last name only and DOD year. Sometimes I have lots to look at. But still I can get it wrong when a person has remarried and last name of stone is a previous marriage. But easy to fix. Some people get so upset over it, but I don't.
My Aunt Kate's first name is Nancy (102551751)that may be why you did not find it. This is my grandmother's sister and I had added her as her full name.
Aunt Kate is buried at Walker Cem with her husband John Turner Jr and my cousin Camille not in the Cottage Grove cemetery.
Hope you had a good Saturday. Got a bit of photographing done but the sun was not cooperating too well. Had to stand there a few minutes for the clouds to move.
Thanks for your time,
Susan Stewart

Kate Rainey 116560539
Janice,
Hi. I see you added a memorial at Cottage Grove Cemetery for my Aunt Kate.
She was buried at Walker Cemetery and there is already a memorial for her there.
See 102551751 at Walker.
Would you remove your memorial 116560539?

Thanks,
Susan

Yes the contributor managing the memorial can approve, decline or ignore the correction requests. You question almost makes me think you haven't seen the new edit tab on your profile page. I found it by accident. Find A Grave didn't put out a change notice to anyone that I know of when they added the new Edit Tab. Rick

RE: James and Virginia Beasley
I'm sorry for the confusion. I intended to say if James was actually buried at Camden then the memorials at Flatwoods would have to be transferred to Camden and then the changes made. After I sent that long message to you I added the info you sent originally. So all is good. The only thing wrong was the Benton County Cemetery Book was incorrect. Have a good evening. Rick

RE: James and Virginia Beasley
Yes, I couldn't link Virginia to James because the link was for the wrong cemetery and I had already deleted the memorials.

James and Virginia Beasley
Hi Janice - Got your msg about the duplicate memorials for James and Virginia Beasley. I transcribed the Benton County Cemetery Book in 2010 and they were listed with only birth dates in the Camden Cemetery. I then walked Camden cemetery and took photos of all the stones there at that time. I didn't post one for James and Virginia so I assume there was no stone present in 2010 or 2011. In 2012 Christa Isom walked Flatwoods Methodist Cemetery and took photos of a lot of the stones. James and Virginia have a stone at Flatwoods. I had already proven there were many mistakes in the cemetery book, so after receiving your message today and looking at all the memorials I assumed the entry in the book for Camden cemetery is an error. I deleted the memorials for both of them at Camden. Then I checked my pending edits and you have one for James, at Camden, with a death date of yesterday. The Camden Chronicle came out yesterday so his death is not in the obit section yet. Just wondering where you got his death info and if it states the burial location? I am going to decline the edits you requested only because I already deleted the memorials. If he is buried at Flatwoods, and you want to request the changes again I'll accept them. I'm so sorry, but this is confusing. If he is buried at Camden I wonder if the family knows there is a stone at Flatwoods? Thanks, Rick Lambert

Carolyn Bullen memorial
Thank you so much for approving the additions for Carolyn's memorial. I do appreciate your keeping the memorial as correct as possible so that others may benefit from the information. Carolyn would have been happy with it, I think.
