Thank you so very kindly for these important transfers and your generous contributions to the genealogy and history of our country. Genoa is the son of my GG Grandfather and his third wife. The third wife is not generally known of in my family, but I have the record of her and the children from this last marriage. Thank you for helping me in my quest to bring them all together. Warmest Regards, Nancy

This is my paternal grandmother and her biological mother's name was Rosa Rucker Hunter. Record of her marriage to Luther B Hunter on 10/27/1894 is in the Tippah County records. My gr-grandfather (Luther) remarried Ollie Rhodes after my gr-grandmother died. But before she died, she and Luther had three children--Emmett, Lottie, and my grandmother, Myrtle Lee. The rest of the children listed on this memorial are the children of Luther and Ollie. I have tried to find something about Rosa, but have been unable to do so. My granny said she is buried in an unmarked grave next to Luther at Flat Rock Cemetery, but I don't know how to confirm this. I wish I could find more out about here, e.g., parents names, siblings, etc. She is gone and seemingly forgotten.

I am opal decanters grandson Jim and you left off one of her children. She had a son named Timothy who died when he was young. Please add him to the list. She would've wanted that.

Alexander Grinnell Cook #49563845
Are you related in any way to The Cooks or the Burns Elizabeth Jane Johnson Cook Burns # 46757116?
Elizabeth and her 2nd husband John R. Burns were my 2nd great grandparents. I see that you took several of the headstone pictures in connection with this family, all in Mississippi. Several of the memorial pages connecting were made by an anonymous person. This is awesome. I am researching my ancestors and am learning more and more about findagrave everyday. Most of my research has been done through I thank you so much for the work that you do. There is no way to put a price on what all the volunteers on findagrave do for us researchers. I am trying to find someone directly in the Cook line so I can find out the correct legal name of Acenieth Ellen "Arie" Cook. She was 1 of Elizabeth & Alender Cook's children. After he died my 2nd great grandpa married elizabeth and he just claimed all 5 of elizabeth & Alexander's kids as his own on the census's so they are all listed as Burns. There is some confusion as to her real 1st name. Her death Cert. says Arie Ellen Gillen (Gillen is her married name) and the informant on the death cert. (the person giving the info) was Drew Gillen her father-in-law. I believe her full name was Acenieth Ellen Cook & Arie was a nickname. Her grandmother's name was Asseneth (basically the same name with a different spelling)and it was common to name a child after a relative back then and it was also common to give them a nickname especially if the person they were named afer was still alive so as to avoid confusion when calling them into the room. Her name shows up as Acenieth. Sorry for the lengthy explanation but in case you are related or in the future someone who is happens to look through your messages like I just did then they might contact me. It's a long shot but one can hope, right? Are you the one I would contact if I wanted pictures of some more relatives from the Mississippi area's headstones? Or should I just submit a photo request, I just learned how to do that today, so exciting.????
