Lloyd J. Whitaker
A volunteer pointed out two memorials with pictures of the same stone. I added the memorial for Whitaker (98905395) in the Sharon, KS cemetery and you added a memorial for Whitaker in the Burden, KS cemetery 11721085. Both photos look like they were taken under the same tree. I've never been to Burden, KS. Have you been to the Sharon cemetery? Your memorial in Burden was placed first so I'd be glad to remove mine if it's a duplicate.

Taylor P Crain name
We are trying to understand you came to name this cemetery Taylor P Crain. My wife has done significant research into this as James Polk Crain is her direct ancestor. Any information would be useful. We have recently visited this site and cleaned up brush and fallen trees, etc, making the site very attractive and viewable. We have pictures, but are concerned about sharing the pictures to these specific entries because of the confusion of the name, plus the fact that there is another Crain cemetery that also lists these 4 interments.

Elmwood Plantation
Hi I seen your post about Mandy Johnson being a slave of George Ward and being buried on Elmwood Plt. I am very interested in this, what other info do you have about this plantation and Mandy. I grew up an very close to Leota and I have never heard of Elmwood Plt. You can email me direct if you like at kc5zji68@yahoo.com. Like I said I am very interested in this .

Thanks Stacy

RE: Howard C. Blossom
Julie,

It's great to hear form someone who knew Howard Blossom, and thanks for setting up his Find a Grave memorial. My father just passed away in October and I've acquired a lot of family history, including Howard's. I'll be posting a biography for Howard once I get the chance to assemble all the data. For now you can learn a lot more here:

Take Care Julie, and thanks for caring about Howard Blossom!

Alexander C. Douglas
I have located the unmarked grave of Capt. Isaac Singleton, who Alexander C. Douglas served under in the Civil War. Trying to locate as many descendants of his men as possible.
