As a teacher and with a BA in history, genealogy became a natural outflow for learning the past. Learning of ancestors being involved with major historical events have made those historical events become more personal and alive. My wife, son, and I live in historical New England and enjoy the ability to visit many of the historical places of our country's beginnings as well as some of the oldest cemeteries. The photo you see is of my grandfather, Goduise Joseph Lagace, in the 1920's.|

My Billings line came up through Hartford, CT, Hatfield, Ma., Sunderland, Ma., Shrewsbury, Vt. Rutland, Vt. I think a whole branch of Nathaniel Billings from Concord Ma were known to have gone up to Me.
I am sure you know the early families of Roger Billings of Boston, William Billings of Stoughton, CT., Richard Billings of Hartford, Ct., and Nathaniel Billings of Concord. All around early to mid 1600's.

This information was taken from cemetery records. Unfortunately I have given the records to the LDS in Mesa AZ.

Thank you for pointing out the error. (It must have been another Asaph Howard who married Almira Dunbar.) I have made the correction and added sources for birth, marriage and burial.

The records that I have call the cemetery Orcutt, I entered what I had. Later someone else entered it as Sly Pond. I have never been contacted about resolving the issue.

Nice to "meet" you. Thanks for the updates. I was able to confirm her date of birth from the age on the Death Register. Also, it seems that you're indicating that her mother's maiden name is "Sackett?" I used that in her bio but if it's incorrect, let me know.

I have found the interred date on the burial
record search many times to actually be the date of death. Also, I have found gravestones in
Plymouth cemeteries that are not documented
on the burial record search.
Hope this helps with your research.
Have a good day,

Sorry but I don't go to the Brockton cemeteries.
I usually stay in Plymouth.
