BEWARE PEOPLE ON YOUR SCRAPBOOK - Findagrave/ have deemed themselves to delete our flowers and put their Forget Me Not standard flower in their places WITHOUT notifying us. It totally ruins the appearance of a memorial. From an email I received today, apparently some people are complaining the flashing flowers cause seizures. NOTE: I hope the people complaining are not driving vehicles as police cars, fire trucks and ambulances have flashing lights and those lights might cause them to have an accident!

Please be a contributor to Findagrave and not just a manager of someone else's work. It's funny that people write all they have is what's posted on a memorial. Well folks - if you took the time and researched you WOULD find information to post & link family. Believe me, it's NOT that hard! In others words you ARE a manager and NOT a contributor. Please don't claim to be a historian and/or genealogist when all you do is post a memorial, do not link family or do NOT post any info on your memorials. And to those who take credit for all the research done by others, shame shame and shame on you.

My numbers are lopsided as I maintain memorials for mainly 2 people who became inactive on Findagrave and for a cousin who died. Memorials need to be maintained and I do transfer non-related people to relatives. For those with huge numbers and NO sponsorships, think about sponsoring ($5) memorials and donating to Findagrave!!!!

You MAY add death certificates to any memorials that I manage. This enables others, who do NOT have access to, view their family member's death information; which has been made public. If the 5 photo limit is reached, I WILL sponsor that memorial - it's the right thing to do and it's only $5.00.

There are some people, and you know who you are, that follow 'guide lines' in transferring memorials. You must be a numbers person! And for those people who criticize the photos posted and appear to be strickly a numbers person - SHAME ON YOU TOO and a PITA!! If they aren't your relatives, why should you care. So, as the saying goes, 'if the shoe fits, wear it'. Now if you abide by the Findagrave guidelines for transfers, then so shall I.

Additionally, If you are one of those folks who disables your messages and has no email address listed, in other words, NO WAY TO CONTACT, absolutely 'no suggestions' will be acknowledged. If you are Anonymous, then you do not exist. Nothing personal, but sometimes I need to confirm things. If I cannot communicate with you one way or another and you cannot be bothered, that is fine I understand.

I and relatives I know constantly scour records and family records IN OUR POSSESSION. What is added is what we have checked and double checked. When we find documents that are exceptionally interesting and realize other relatives haven't had access to this information--we post it to their memorials.

I am a retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer, with over 28 years of federal civil service. To keep myself busy, I became a navigator/logistics specialist on my husband's rig. I am also the proud wife of a retired Army soldier and the very proud mother of a soldier, who was injured by an IED explosion and completed his tour of duty in Iraq.

It's the soldier, not the reporter who has given us Freedom of the Press. It's the soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech. It's the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate. It's the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial. It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves under the flag and whose coffin is draped by the flag. ~Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC~~GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!

If there are memorials I have created or maintain who are your family members, please send me a message and I will be more than happy to transfer them to you-no matter your blood generation with the following exceptions; 1. if I have done extensive research or 2. IF THEY ARE IN MY FAMILY TREE, MY HUSBAND'S FAMILY OR MY ADOPTED MOM'S FAMILY, then I will maintain the memorial(s).

The photos I post on Findagrave and may be used by one and all at any time, although no money is to be made from my photographs. Photo credit would be appreciated! This is a site for all to cherish for future generations with headstone photos of distant relatives never known and now, never to be forgotten.

Your photo

I just wanted to say that the photo of you hugging your son when he returned from Iraq is beyond words.

Just a courtesy message
In the past I have been harassed on this site to the point I had to turn my message feature off and remove my e-mail address so please take that into consideration that not everyone is hiding because they are a stalker. There are members on findagrave that are here for NO OTHER reason than to cause problems. I am NOT a numbers person and I am happy to transfer any memorial as long as they're not a relative/friend of mine. As usual, it's the few that ruin it for us all. Isn't that always the case? A member refused to transfer my grandfather's memorial because she did NOT transfer any memorials because she walked the rows and she wrote down all the information and she posted it all on findagrave and therefore it was HER'S then there was another member that refused to transfer any memorials in a specific county as she said all the memorials in that specific county were a project of theirs and therefore those memorials were theirs. Sadly, the longer I've been a member the more people I have met that are rude and few that are kind and that is upsetting but I must say the ones that are friendly make it worth staying a member. :-)

The weather in Florida's finally cooling off so I feel like I'm in paradise hope the weather is great where you are!

You are so right about our soldiers and I always leave tokens for them. I'm a proud Air Force vet myself. I thank them for being able to vote, being able to attend a peaceful protest, being able to attend the church of my choice, and the many other freedoms we have in America. :-)

Got pictures posted of Rebecca and John Palmer Doolan. I need to go back and check with the sexton office on James Arthur Doolan. There is no headstone in the listed location.

RE: Leon Laframboise at Ft Bliss
Thanks. I had done that as well but I don't always trust that database as I have one time not found a name but the person actually was in a National Cemetery. But thanks.

RE: Memorial 66700581
No, because someone else might claim before I get to them. Send me the names and plot numbers and I'll get them in. If you're creating new memorials you'll need to give me a warning before doing so. Either way we'll get you some pictures.
