I am a math teacher. My hobby is genealogy. I am a volunteer with my local DAR society's cemetery team.

A lot of my ancestors are from Suffolk, Dutchess, and Ulster Counties in New York. Unfortunately, I do not live around those counties. I do spend many weekends in Ulster and Dutchess counties.

RE: Woodhull Huntington Rural Cemetery
I just wanted to follow up to see if you knew that there is a Woodhull Rd. in the area near the cemetery and a school there named Nathaniel Woodhull Intermediate School. Not sure how Nathaniel and Caleb are related.

Hi Marie,

I transferred the profiles I made for the children to you. It is so sad that they all died so young. I looked up their obituaries out of curiosity and only Julian's stated the cause of death as Bilious Fever. I found it interesting that Fanny's name isn't engraved anywhere plus in her obituary it states that the funeral will be private and requests that no flowers be sent. I also found Fanny's will and was pleased to see that she donated money to Huntington Hospital which is around the block from the Huntington Rural Cemetery and is the main hospital in the area to this day.

Woodhull Huntington Rural Cemetery
Hi Marie,

I photographed Caleb and family's stones today. Caleb's name and dates was on the family stone's front (only his name), the side of the stone was a memorial for his and Fanny's children, and the back listed Lawrence's name and dates. Fanny does not have a stone and her name is not on Caleb's (most likely because she was the last to die and no one had it engraved - it probably would have gone under Caleb's name on the front of the Woodhull stone). There were individual stones for: Gaylord, Agnes, Edith, Ethelbert, Julian, and Lawrence. I created memorial pages for them and uploaded their photos to it. I could transfer the pages to you if you'd like. So sad that they all died so young. I assume illness was to blame.

Take care,

Grover Colberg
Hi Marie,
I'm attempting to locate where my 3rd great uncle, Grover Colberg, died and was buried. I see you added information about his first wife, Elsie May Baum Colberg. Would you happen to have any information on her husband, Grover (was he buried with her later on)? I haven't been able to find any information on Grover past the death of this first wife, Elsie. It appears he later married a Jean MacArthur Colberg. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Adam Mivelaz

RE: Marble Cemetery
(see photo of headstone/inscription - where Rachel McKenzie is listed on the headstone Memorial# 8113230 - it shows: Inscription: Beneath this stone rest the remains of.... Rachel Bokee died Oct. 15, 1836)

If you could, like you did with the others, put a link on your Marble memorial # 135844322 to this page # 169822252 at Greenwood, it would be great.

The contents of Vault 88 at Marble, our Olyphant/Bokee ancestors, were removed to Greenwood - many reburied in the same plot at Green-wood. I had checked too, to try to verify, but, both the online records for Green-wood and Marble seem to be incomplete at times. Marble’s record don’t indicate her as “removed” - which may have been an oversight in recording and/or transcribing records - which may be why Green-wood didn’t have the information to add at re-interment time? (Frederick Bokee, who was shown in 2003 on Marble online records - “Bokee, Frederick (hus of Rachel Mckenzie) age 61 18 Oct 1836 b 1775 Removed to Green-Wood “, now seems to be missing from their current online searchable records? And in 2003, on their records, Rachel was NOT listed, and now she is)

Isabella Heermann
I am the great grand daughter of Isabella Garcia de la Huerta Heermann. Thank you for all the hours you have spent on posting information on Find a Grave.

I noticed that Isabella's last name needs correction on the site. (Hermann vs Heermann). It is correctly spelled on the grave stone.

She was married to a wild famous German violinist, Hugo Heermann. One of her son's, Norbert, lived in Woodstock.

Please feel free to contact me anytime.

RE: Mrs. Andrew Brunette child of Aaron E. Van De Bogart
That's her - for some reason, she was in Oregon at the end of her life. I'm just learning Geneology. I've been using and some work a great aunt completed. I'll try ordering some records one day soon. Thanks

RE: Mrs. Andrew Brunette child of Aaron E. Van De Bogart

No I haven't seen one for her. She passed away towards the end of the 90s circa 1994-1999. I believe she was very much alone at the time. She went by the name Charlotte Rhoton after late husband Charles Rhoton.

I'll take a closer look.
