RE: Edwin & Charles M Bailey
Note that there can be headstones without actual burials. This is called cenotaph as explained in previous note

RE: Edwin & Charles M Bailey
I don't understand your question. Did you you compare the facts on the memorials? Do they look like duplicates to you? When I compared the information on the memorials, they appeared to be duplicates. therefore I notified you.

I always send the duplicate notification to both managers. I just happen to find these when I am looking for someone. Right now both memorials update Ancestry, FamilySearch, etc..

As managers of the memorials, you will need to work together to resolve. If the other manager doesn't respond, e-mail Find A Grave to resolve. Find A Grave will not work with me because I am not involved as a manager of the memorials.

If one of the duplicate memorials is a cenotaph meaning the person is not actually buried there, then the memorial either needs to be marked by Find A Grave as cenotaph. This must be done by sending a request to Find A Grave to mark the memorial where not buried as a cenotaph. It is also recommended for each memorial to put an active link in the bio to the other memorial. [see Find A Grave policy]

RE: Howard Edward Orvis
Hello Pam,

I don't have much on her but I will look and see what I have and send it next week. I do remember her though. When her and Howard lived in IL. they would come to Dubuque, IA every Memorial Day and meet with Howard's brother, (my dad) Roger C. Orvis and his sister, Margie Orvis Steva to put flowers on the graves of their relatives. I remember her as being very quiet, nice and always smiling.

Let me know if there is anything specific that you are looking for and I will be glad to help in anyway I can to help you find what you are looking for.

Thanks,

Julie

RE: Howard Edward Orvis
Yes, I am related to Howard E. Orvis.
Howard was my father's older brother which in turn made Howard my uncle.

Please let me know why you ask?

Westlawn-Hillcrest Vets
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
