MY PET PEEVE
When people list just one stone for a photo request. Then in the note they want everybody and their brother with that ONE request.
PLEASE list EVERYONE that you need. I have limited time and refuse to look for anyone that's not listed as a request. So if you want them all, list them all! Thank you.
Thanks so much to all the volunteers that have gotten my family stone pictures...I'd be lost without you! I know how difficult this can be.
THE PERFECT GRAVESTONE PICTURE
1) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO dates or your name through the pictures. This is REALLY tacky!
They look awful and are SO unnecessary!! This is
about them, not us!
2) No chopped off around the sides. There should be 'outdoors' around all 4 sides.
I want to see what the stone looks like!
3) The stone picture looks best if it's taken in front of the stone, not at an angle. A trick I use to keep my reflection off the stone: I stand behind another stone and use the zoom on the camera (if needed).
4) No 'postage stamp' sized pictures. Set your
camera to take regular sized pictures.
Let's honor our dead as best as we can by taking beautiful pictures. These pictures will most likely be the only ones on the internet for generations to come!
Please don't fill my requests if your name/a copyright symbol or a date are gonna be put through the stone or they're gonna be chopped beyond recognition. I prefer to wait and get a better picture. Thanks.
