Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've always been interested in my family genealogy since the 1980's. So many unknowns, so little time......

Currently I'm working on the following families:

Loughrey, Loughery, Manning, McDevitt, McGahey, McGaughey, McPake, McPeck, McPeak, Carroll, Riddle, Curran, McCullough, Cassidy, Cunningham, Glackin, Glacken, Hetrick, Rittenhouse, Burtz, Bass, Winger, Newman, Neuman, Nasello, Seminara, Sheridan, Stango, D'Angelico, Tomasco to name a few.

Posted Photos are for your PERSONAL USE ONLY & are NOT TO BE USED without written permission of the owner. More than happy to make additions & corrections to memorials & if you find a duplicate on a memorial I created, please hit the EDIT button & choose the appropriate link, then send a message. Please follow the rules listed on this web site.

This site can be a lot of fun. I've found you don't really know your relatives until you start digging. You just never know what surprises you'll find!

Thank you for visiting!

Thanks re:108790043
Found the town, it's considered Northern Ireland, county Londonderry. Was searching for it in Ireland and had to use my friend Google. Thanks so much for your time! :)

Loughry family of Philadelphia
Hi. Thank you so much for the information on Maria T Loughry; she was my great-grandmother's mother. I have very limited information on this family- other than that Maria's (or possibly Mariah) husband was James Joseph Loughry. I was told that the family was Irish.I have come across a family member's application for citizenship confirming that the family was from Ireland. I have no idea if this Loughry family is related in any way to Jeremiah Loughry of Indiana County PA.

Thanks again!

I'm sorry but I don't have any info on Emma (b abt 1890) nor her family. I wish you the best in your research.

John Loughney
Loughneyvs Loughery
Hi 'So Little Time'

Loughery is an Ulster name, while Loughney is a Mayo name. There were two groups of Loughney's in Philly in the 1800s, most were master boatmans. They are related to me. Loughery could come from this name:

Loughney comes from O'Lachtna, which would be pronounced quite similarly to how Loughney is pronounced - LOCH - NEE or LOCH - NAY (ch sound like in Scottish Loch).

Thanks for updating the records!

McPike surname and variants
I too am researching the McPike surname from Franklin County. I saw the different McPake variant names you are researching. Have you seen any Levi McPike born in 1750 in Pennsylvania in your research? Thanks.

Margaret Melograno
Hello So,
(Couldn`t resist)
Thank you for asking, and also all your efforts on find-a-grave!
At this time I do not think that Margaret or Michael Melograno are part of the family that I am searching for. I found her maiden name in her sister`s obit. Sent edit hoping it may help others.
I am searching for my grandmother`s sister Nora DiNunzio, who married a James Melograno/Melograna?
They lived in Ambler, Pa. I think James died in the 1950`s & Nora the late 60`s? If only we could ask our grandparents !
Best Wishes,

RE: Elizabeth Loughry
Jeremiah Loughry who is the father of Archibald; had 4 sons--William, Jeremiah, Archibald and John; all of which ended up in either Westmoreland or Indiana County, PA. I do not have any hints that maybe a brother(s) of the senior Jeremiah also moved to the US and settled in Philadelphia County. If I learn anything I will pass it on to you.

William Doughty Family
Hello, would you kindly e-mail me regarding memorial 151408457? ( I don't think this is his death certificate attached to his memorial as he was living with is son Samuel & his wife Sadie in 1910. He remarried in 1913 and was alive in 1920. Still looking for the right death certificate. Also, his first wife Virginia's maiden name was Little as indicated on Samuel's DC. It looks like they both married a few times, it's very confusing! Thank you!

RE: Margaret Martin McGahey
This is my grandma’s memorial; she’s the daughter of Anna Martin who was the sister of Margaret Martin McGahey. As far as I know this family never lived in NJ.

Please email any further questions you may have.
