I know personally what it's like to not know where members of my family are buried It is my main hope that through my photographic efforts, I can help someone find their lost ancestors and possibly see their markers for the first time.
Please note that I am no longer actively adding memorials or photographing markers.
Birth date 1827 source G., What is your source for GWB's birth date. Could it be a transcription error? Maybe 1821 instead? I would like to look at the original document if you have it?
I'm searching for his place in the Bowie family tree. If 1821 is correct then he probably is the son of Dr. John Bowie and Anne Calvert. Since Dr. John Bowie died in 1825 that would eliminate this possibility if 1827 is correct.
My source for 1821 is the book "Mistress of Riverdale" by Margaret Law Callcott
Lt. Robert Edwin Charley Thank you so much for the photograph of my cousin. I have been looking everywhere. Evidentally he was adopted by his step-father Charley. His real surname is Williamson. His father being Sidney P. Williamson and mother Marion A. Fisher. Also if you look closely at the phot his birth date was Apri. 28, 1915 and his death date reads Nov. 24, 1942, which matches his Death Records from Hickman Co, TN.
Really appreaciate all that Find A Grave does. Claudia Mader
C.Jones Memorial #126859627 Picture you took of marker for C.Jones was placed on Memorial 15711009 under Charley Donley. You transferred maintenance of Mare island sites over to me, but I can't do any corrections to your photographs. Could you please move the picture to C.Jones, memorial #126859627. Thank you
Cora Bissell 141183916 The memorial photo you previously took shows under Col. William H Bissell (15630483, her husband, William Ambrose Bissell and daughter. Would it be possible to upload it to Cora's memorial? It would be greatly appreciated.
Billion Graves shows the exact memorial under St. Mary's Cemetery in Oakland CA instead of Mountain View.
Not at Holy Cross Biographical information for George Washington Hogue is correct, but there is no record of him being buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. The George W. Hogue that is there died in 1940 and is probably his son.
