|I have a strong interest in genealogy, both my own and others, and history in general.|
Also, I have come to believe that the documentation created here is an historical record, ultimately of value to future researchers.
Therefore, it is extremely important to be accurate and to include as much verified information as possible, including the correct dates and places of birth of those whom we post to cemeteries.
Linking family members - besides indicating familial relationships - shows the patterns of migration and where families settled in different areas.
It is important to post individuals to the correct cemetery, rather than just creating lists of dead people in order to generate enormous numbers credited to our names.

I went yesterday to Oasis Cemetery in Waushara Co. I walked the cemetery twice, but I didn't find Betsy Staples's grave. It's possible that I missed it. I will be returning again soon to take more photos. Hopefully, I will find her grave then.
Thanks so much Cynthia for taking the photo of the Scott headstone. That was very nice of you. I was in Chicago two weeks ago and spent parts of two morning in Graceland and it was wonderful. Wish I would have remembered to photo some of my own memorials. Thanks again.

Thanks for pointing that out. I left it because I had planned to take better photos and never got back to the cemetery to do so. I photographed his grave not knowing who he was. I did random photos just to look him up later, not realizing that he was famous. If you get back there and want to add better photos and add his wife, you may do so. I deleted what I had started and found that find a grave already had him added, but my rotten photos are still on there. Contact me and I will remove them if you do better ones. I only left mine because I had planned to take better ones, and none were there to begin with. Have a great weekend!

Hi Cynthia! I've connected Horace to his parents. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Are you related to Anne? She is my 7th great grand aunt.

We have been to Plymouth, England and Scotland, and I can't tell you how I mourn the loss of so many stones, so much information!! So many stories gone to the winds of time. If you should ever find anything else, I would truly love to hear. Thank you, Cynthia, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work. It is appreciated beyond the telling of it.
