Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on recording cemetery records for years along with my very busy schedule as a special education teacher and several other things I volunteer for. Since I have loved ones all over, I am excited by the opportunity to have a virtual cemetery I can use to honor my loved ones.
I have been very excited to find the graves of several relatives, such as my father's little brother that died as an infant and whose grave was not visited by us since it was in Canada.
I come from a large family, with many of my relatives working hard on genealogy for generations. My husband's family had very little done so I have concentrated my efforts mostly on his family. I look forward to passing on this treasure to my three children and their children.
I also look forward to sharing this web site with other family members, including my husband's family that have the same passion for family history that I do.
Surnames from my husband's side:
Lentz, Wiest, Riegle, Jury, Wilbert, Hartman, Matter, Spotts, Bingaman, Bohner, Tobias, Holtzman, Enders, Wardley, Mayer, Deibler, Bowman, Dietrich . . .

Surnames on my side:
Hacking, Small, Wilcox, Giberson, Pearson, Parker, Clark, Hapworth, Quimby, White, Bailey, Savage, Nickerson, Orcutt, Harriman, Grindle, Orser . . .

RE: Boyer School Cemetery
I do not live in PA any more so cannot check it again. I know there were more grave stones there, but they were unreadable. Sorry I'm not any help. If someone would like to manage the records I put on for the Boyer School Cemetery, I could transfer it.

Gallen
Duplicate Memorial on Yancey family
My name is Gale Allen, and I have been copying tombstones and making sure they are in the listings and am currently doing the Sutton Cemetery. There are two for the Yancey Family, yours and another by an individual, djyancey (FG 48011771) Memorial # 103302499. They need the materials combined and I will let you two decide how it is done. I will leave a short not on dj's message board. If you see Gallen on any data the chances are very high that I am not direct-line relative so just ask and I will gladly give them to you if you are direct-line. Gale
Duplicate is for Money Dee Lee Yancey your Memorial # is 32593432 djyancey's Memorial # is 103302499

Hacking Family
Eileen, thank you for all the work you have done on the Hacking family. I see many of the cemetery records you have posted have been on people I have researched. It was good to see the cemeteries where these relatives were buried. I also picked up new information on many of them and am grateful for the effort you have put into this work.

Baxter B. Fite III
Private John Giffin, Co. B, 86th Illinois
Thanks Eileen for adding that wonderful picture of the monument that lists Mahlon Giffin's name with the information that he is believed by more than me that he is the same John Giffin who is credited with serving in the 86th. Now do you have any guesses or information about where his mortal remains were laid? I'm not sure I buy the fact he died in 1888, but I am certain he was dead by 1890, when his widow, Sophia, filed her claim. Most applications for Widows Pensions were made within a couple months of the death of the veteran, if not with in days. I have seen very few widow's wait years. Thanks for your help in this matter. Any chance you are related to the Giffins? Thanks again, Baxter

Baxter B. Fite III
Private John Giffin, Co, B, 86th Illinois
Dear Eileen, My name is Baxter Fite and for the past 28 years, I have been searching for the final resting place of the 992 men who served in the 86th Illinois. During this time, I have found the burial sites of 902 of these men. One of the men eluded the surviving members of the 86th and who has continued to elude me is a man who served in Co. B of the 86th, who was known as John Giffin. During the last few years, I have began to wonder if his real name was either John Mahlon Giffin or Mahlon John Giffin. Would you look at what I now have on John Giffin? I would be very interested in your thoughts on this. Hope this finds you well and I am looking forward to your thoughts on this. Sincerely, Baxter

PS...all the graves are in the right cemetery (so far) and I only have 166 photos to go. The main contributor prefers to use only her own photos so I just delete my photo, if it is a memorial she created and still manages, and move on to the next photo.

Thanks again!!
Yvonne
