I am more than happy to make corrections, but please make sure you do the following on your end. Please use the edit tab found at the top of the memorial you would like for me to correct. And when requesting people to be linked to family members, please be sure to provide the memorial numbers of the family members to be linked. Thanks.|

Hello! Are you related to the Goodman line? I have been searching for years for the parents of my gggg-grandfather, Andrew Goodman, born 1783 in Virginia. He and his wife Catherine Saunders (from Sullivan County, Tennessee) lived in Washington County, Tennessee. I had my DNA tested a few years ago, and I show connections to Goodmans from Virginia, North Carolina, and Hawkins County, Tennessee, but I don't know how those families connect to each other!
I saw the photograph of John Jacob Goodman you posted here, and I had recently come across the same photo at ancestry.com. He was identified there as "Jacob (Joab) Goodman, a son of Jacob Goodman who lived in Washington County, Virginia (on Beaver Creek). He looks similar to the image someone shared with me of my gg-grandfather, Jacob Goodman, 1855-1905, from Piney Flats in Sullivan County, Tennessee.
Would love to hear from you!
