Bio Photo The girl in the pic is my daughter. Her stone reads, 'Sometimes things happen that make us ask, "Why, GOD?" And all we can do is to look to HIM in faith, not understanding, just believing. Our Amazing Grace, safe in GOD'S care."
I am a retired Middle School Secretary. I love to walk cemeteries & take photos to enter on this wonderful site. I am researching: my side ~ Roberts, Taylor, Thomas, White, Hall, Gobble/Gabel, Seaman, Butner, Terry, Tripp, Shearer, & Gudgel; my husband's side ~ Wagner, Polansky, Taylor, Harris, Garlett, Miller, Russell, Myers, & Silliman.

We are each of us angels with only one wing; to fly we need only embrace each other.

God Said, "I Know"

I said, "God, I hurt." And God said, "I know."
I said, "God, I cry a lot." And God said, "I know."
I said, "God, I am so depressed." And God said, "That is why I gave you sunshine."
I said, "God, life is so hard." And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones."
I said, "God, my loved one died." And God said, "So did mine."
I said, "God, it is such a loss." And God said, "I saw mine nailed to a cross."
I said, "God, but your loved one lives." And God said, "So does yours."
I said, "God, where are they now?" And God said, "Mine is on my right and yours is in the light."
I said, "God, it hurts." And God said, "I know!"

Let me come in where you are weeping, friend,
And let me take your hand.
I, who have known a sorrow such as yours,
Can understand.
Let me come in - I would be very still
Beside you in your grief.
I would not bid you cease your weeping, friend,
Tears bring relief.
Let me come in - I would only breathe a prayer,
And hold your hand.
For I have known a sorrow such as yours,
And understand. ~ Grace Noll Crowell

Hello Marcia,

First, I would like to extend my condolences to you. Grace was a beautiful girl.

Secondly, per Fred Wagner ~ do you know if he was a SA War vet? Might he be a relative of yours?

Warmest Regards,
Sheila

Bill Killion
Killions buried in New Hope Cemetery, Texas County, Mo.
Hi, Marcia.

My name is Bill Killion, and I am researching the family history of the Killions in Texas County, Missouri. You photographed the graves of four Killions at the New Hope Cemetery in Solo, Mo. The graves include my great grandparents, Daniel Pinkney (Pink or DP)Killion and Orlena (Lena) Killion. The information about Lena on findagrave is as follows:
"Marked only w/cement stone & no dates. I believe she was born abt. 1862 in MO & she died between 1887-1900 (after Pink died & before their son, Lucian, was living w/Uncle James). The cemetery book also lists an infant of Pink & Lena buried in this cemetery."

I believe that my great, great grandparents (Pink's parents) are also buried at New Hope. They are Daniel Killion, Jr., and Mary (Polly) Killion. Findagrave does not identify a grave sites for Dan and Polly. There may be some unmarked graves or grave sites near Pink's grave.

Maybe you have some information, Marcia, that may help me identify possible locations of grave sites for Dan and Polly.

You perform a great service for those of us searching our family history. We are indebted to you for all of your effots.

Bill Killion
