Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family history for about 27 years. I found FAG about 2005 and it has grown to be one of my favorite sites. Periodically my husband and I take trips just to fulfill requests. We are involved in the ongoing project of documenting both Glenwood Cemetery and Hollywood Cemetery in Houston, TX. We are also doing work in Oak Grove Cemetery in Yoakum, Lavaca, TX. Please note that the lot numbers that we are using in this cemetery are per the survey done in 1983 by Sammy Tise. They are not the original lot numbers assigned by the cemetery.

I'm not sure about the year on the stone, but I got the information from Sammy Tise's transcription. As for the OAR/OCR, I'll see if Tise has that one in his list of acronyms and abbreviations in the books.

Robert E. Roush in Yoakum Cemetary
We just found our parents markers in the Yoakum cemetery. Daddy wanted something here to note he and Mother were buried in the Houston Veterans Memorial Cemetery. We had this marker in Yoakum made after he passed away, but have not personally visited it ourselves to see it. So this was so nice/kind of you to do this for others. We, the children, do appreciate your thoughtfulness!

THank you,

Susan Roush Dyer

Thank you for adding your photos of Ranger Abernathy's headstone and for correcting my error on the birthdate. I appreciate your kindness and help.

Blessings,

Robert Henry Abernathy
I noticed today that you have a Find A Grave entry for Ranger Robert Henry Abernathy which you put on April 1,2014. I also put him on Aug 1, 2013, so yours is a duplicate. Your entry has the nice photo of his memorial stone. Mine does not have a photo, so I invite you to put your photo on my entry and you'll get the credit for it, as your entry should be deleted. If there is any other information you'd like to add, let me know.

Hello, I added the plot numbers you gave but was curious how do you know that or did you know them? They are my Aunt and Uncle, my mother's brother and wife.

Thanks
Debra

RE: Chester & Juliann Masser
Thanks so much for your quick reply. I wasn't sure how accurate the office might have been; hence my question to you. Thanks also for all your work with this huge cemetery and the Memorial 6 section you are doing. Many will be very appreciative! Since they appear to have no marker, we hope to have a marker made for Chester & Juliann on a trip west later this year, so it is good to have the accurate location. Would you have a recommendation of a grave stone company? Otherwise, we'll ask the cemetery office when we are there.
