Bio Photo I am a Daughter of a Union Veteran of the Civil War. (DUVCW) My Great Great Grandfather, John Delong fought in the Civil War. I am unable to find his grave. He died in Spencerville, Ohio on June 17, 1895 at the age of 84. I volunteer at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Home for Veterans.

I am an United States Air Force Veteran.

Also I am the secretary for the Grand Rapids Civil War Round Table. And I am a director on our newly formed group, Friends of Michigan Veterans' Homes. We raise money for the little extras for our Vets in the Homes.

It is hard for me to pass a cemetery without stopping. Lucky for me, my husband has the same interests.

Please if you request a transfer, please use the EDIT key. Also send me your ID number.

Augusta Beyer 1886-1974
Hi, I was just wondering where you got your info for Augusta and Henry Beyer in Fairplains Cemetery? She is a relative in my family and her maiden name was Augusta Rohde- Beyer( 1887-1974) married to Henry Beyer( 1874-1957) in 1903. She died 20 November 1974 in Grand Rapids. Her patrents were Frederick and Dorthea Rohde. Her Obituary was 21 Nov. 1974 in the Grand Rapids Press.

Not a problem! This "space" thing is causing me a lot of trouble, seem like the admin/Find A Grave could fix that sorting problem. :-)

Thank you! I had no idea I could add a photo to a Memorial that belonged to someone else.

Amos and Charlotte Cole
Amos and Charlotte Cole are my paternal GGrandparents. I have a newspaper clipping with photos of them celebrating their 60 wedding anniversary. I would like to have this posted.
What is the best way to go about this?
I was thrilled to find that you had already built a memorial for them.

Orville's wife Corena Morton is the granddaughter of my ggg grandparents and I was just trying to find everybody. This is not my line, I descend from the first son in the family.

Thanks for letting me know the photo was there and all the interesting data, I really appreciate it!! If you need anything let me know, always willing to do what I can.

RE: George Washington Tortellet
Thank you for the invite, I do not drive. I do live in Hudsonville. Our singing group sang there
one time and the last time we were to sing they
had a virus, so we did not sing. It is a neat place, I remember the old building when I was a
little girl.

George Washington Tortellet
I am a great grand daughter of a civil war vet.
He was born in Ohio and after the war moved to Coldwater and then up to Sand Lake. He fought in a number of different battles and marched to the sea with Sherman. I also had a cousin John Edgar
Tourtellotte the original spelling was a General and fought in a number of big battles and worked with Sherman and other big upper ranks. He also marched to the sea. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery with the generals. Just thought I would tell you as you like the civil war also.
I will the history of this war also.
