Retired US Army Judge Advocate and Civil Affairs operator.|
My list of Battle Buddies is a special virtual cemetery. It contains 14 soldier memorials who were killed in action or later died as a result of their wounds. I was privileged to have served with 6 of them. (If you read between the lines you will learn the stories of the other 2 who have a "family" connection to me.) Three other soldiers were fellow unit members and 6 of them were fellow Judge Advocate General Corps members. And 3 memorials are for civilians who were from units I was associated with. My memorials and sponsorships to all these servicemembers is my small effort to honor them.
I work (part-time) at California Southern Law School in Riverside, California – hence my "home page" is the business.
And here is the story about the memorials I added to the United Nations Cemetery in Busan, South Korea. When I was an enlisted medic, I was stationed in Busan. My sight-seeing of the city brought me to the cemetery. So nearly 35 years later I am happy to add names to this cemetery. The smaller countries are completed. (Larger countries like Canada and Turkey have to wait.) Do you – yes, YOU – have a connection to those soldiers, sailors, airmen who died in the Korean War? Please let me know and I will gladly transfer management of those soldiers to you.

Thank you for the recent addition of the Patton State Hospital Monument to those family members who we have not forgotten. And many thanks to the CA Memorial Project for the long hours of making all these monuments and moments of silence possible.
Now, is there ANYONE who can tell me who might assist in finding out if a family member died on site, or was actually discharged?
Again Stevan...I thank you from my heart.

Thank you so much for trying to get photos of Norman Pico's grave. I very much appreciate all your effort on my behalf. Take care

Ok, Gotcha. I will be on the reservation soon, my uncle is buried in Pala Cemetery and I will make sure to clear it up. Thanks!

According to the funeral home she is buried there, there is no other listing for her. I will have to inquire further.

Is there another burial grounds or cemetery at or on Pechanga reservation? If so what is the name and where is it?
|Angela Lochrie||Thank you|
My name is Angela and I come from Scotland you were the first person to record my great uncles grave in the United Nations in Korea. You have no idea what this has done for my search as we were always told that he never even had a grave!!! So from the wright family (my mothers side) we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It's been nice to finally have a picture of what happened to him
Many thanks again
Thank you Stevan for sponsoring her memorial. If you're related & would like a transfer, I have no problem doing that.

Thanks for the correction. I deleted the memorial I made for him. I was working with his family on this, so I will inform them of the change.
