I'm very much hooked on genealogy. Now that I'm retired I am willing to help others and fill photo requests for my area. This site has been a great help to me in finding information and photos and it's time for me to help others. |
I'm currently photographing cemeteries in Hubbard and Eastern Becker county, Minnesota.
During the winter months I have been looking up obituaries to add to memorial pages that appear in the old Park Rapids Enterprise. If you are looking for an obituary you can email me but please make the request during the winter months.
I will add to, change, delete, and Correct any Memorial I've added.
I will be happy to Transfer Memorials according to FAG Guidelines but I will consider other transfers on an individual basis. Please State your relationship when asking for a transfer. I will not transfer Bulk name requests.
Please use the EDIT tab and SAC to ask for a transfer or to have me correct or add information and state your relationship to the person when asking for a transfer.
No need to ask permission if you want to use my photos for ancestry and personal use, but I do appreciate credit given to me for taking them.
Please do not take my photos and upload them to another page on Find a Grave. If you need a photo added to a different page just ask and I will add it.
If you want the Photo's for resale, for profit, permission is denied.
I am Researching these surnames: Reeser/Rieser, Dunham, Curphey, Newell, Lantz, Goble, Adams, Sullivan, Lamb, Bentley, Boyer, Chapin, Wangen, Meisenhelder and Ziegler.

Please don't use chalk, flour, chemicals etc. on markers when taking your grave photos. Overtime these things can all cause damage to a marker.
PLEASE,DO NOT use the message board for sending information or transfer requests. That is not what it is for. I WILL NOT MAKE ANY CORRECTIONS, LINKS OR TRANSFERS FROM MESSAGES LEFT ON THE MESSAGE BOARD.

In the event of my death or my becoming inactive for a long period of time I would like all my memorial pages passed on to my son DR Wangen #47374156.

I have her picture hanging in our bedroom. she always thought her father died and she was orphaned.
I did all of the research on her and her family in the 1990's. Ray and I visited Floyd County and went to where she was born. Michelle

I may have recent sent you suggested changes with an incorrect message. All the Lantz and Stennett burials are in Butterfield Cemetery. You have already acknowledged that in accepting edits to the plots. It would help if you would move the memorial page itself to Butterfield Cemetery. Thank you.

There is a lot of great information on this Memorial and I am hoping that you can provide me with the source from which it came. I need to find a source/proof document or published book that provides proof that William Bentley and Orange Tozer Bentley are his parents. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to a fellow Find A Grave Volunteer. And thanks too for the part you play in assisting in our research of our family history. Colleen

Thanks Joan! And I have emailed the cemetery where her husband is buried (with her name on the stone) to try to confirm that her ashes are also there. I will let you know when I hear back.
|Roxie Davis||RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 88965354|
It looks like there are two memorials for her, one under her married name and one with both maiden and married names.
Find A Grave Memorial# 88965354, married & maiden
and links to her parents.
Find A Grave Memorial# 118926205, her husband's
Find A Grave Memorial# 118926209, married name, linked to husband.
I'll email Jim and see what he might know.

I'm curious about the note left on this memorial (of a distant cousin) and wondered if you knew anything additional about it. Her husband's stone lists her passing so it looks like at some point the information regarding her death reached relatives (and perhaps her ashes too?). Thanks! Roxie
|Cliff Turnbull||RE: Mary Turnbull grave in Park Rapids, MN|
Hi Joan - thanks - is there a way that we can communicate offline, and I'd make arrangements to meet with you when I'm in the area. Thanks
|Cliff Turnbull||Mary Turnbull grave in Park Rapids, MN|
Hi Joan - thanks for all you've done. I may be related to Mary's husband Peter, as (I believe) my Turnbulls came in through Canada; some went south, some stayed north, and may have strayed into Northern Minnesota. Do you have any other information on her and her family?
I'm working with Keith Butler and the Hubbard County Courthouse, and will be in the area in early August.
Thanks again for posting Mary's grave
