I am a descendant of the Daniel Taylor Dean family, Millard Irons family, Solomon Maggert family and Johann Zerfass family. My grandmother, Hazel Surface McPhail and my mother, Lorraine McPhail Dean, decorated graves each year and I went with them, thus my fascination with cemeteries.
My husband's family is John Lafayette LeMaster family, Wm. Jackson Hughes family, Daniel Wainwright family, John H. Boston family, Coleman Pryor Eaton family.
We live in Topeka, Ks. but grew up in Carl Junction, Jasper Co. MO.
I do not know most of the memorials I have built..but I always leave a flower because I believe memorials deserve one. I try to remember veterans, infants, unknowns and old, old graves. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE/COPY MY PHOTOS.
If you would like a family member transferred, please use the EDIT and I will transfer most, except for my relatives.
IN MEMORY Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade, because one loved is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there's a memory, they live on in our heart. Author Unknown.
BEYOND LIFE'S GATEWAY There's an open gate at the end of the road Through which each must go alone, And there, in a light we cannot see, Our Father claims His own. Author Unknown. | |

 | The Turner family at Olive Lawn, La Mirada Dear Janice,
You left flowers on Betty Jean McPhail Turner's memorial (26917697)... I'm downsizing to just family. I don't adhere to the "guidelines" and you cared enough of Betty and Dale (26917732) to leave flowers.
Are you interested in a transfer?

 | RE: Simms You are welcome! I'm happy to help. My dad is buried at Union Grove, and we try to fill requests when we go there. My son (age 16) usually finds them and I photograph. We both enjoy the history of the old cemeteries, and it's just an added bonus to help someone else. We have a few family cemeteries in Sullivan County we try to cover.

 | RE: Mclaren's in Michigan In the 1871 Canada census they were also in Euphemia, Bothwell, Ontario. It also lists most of the children were born in the US. Record found here:

By the 1860 US Census it lists James Mclaren in St Clair and there is a Malcolm Mclaren b 1805 in Scotland in a neighboring township (Emmett). My direct family stayed toward the eastern part to the middle part of Ontario. The Mclaren's I know are related to me that I have found in Canada stayed toward the western part. I will let ya know if I cross anything else :0) | | | margie etheridge
 | RE: Mclaren's in Michigan Hi Janice,
It is quite possible they could be related. I have a family that are related to my Mclaren family that settled in Port Huron. I believe this family to be related to another Mclaren family that also lived in Sault Sainte Marie, Chippewa, Michigan. My Mclaren family seemed to stay in contact with their family for generations! Which has lead me to the family of Mclaren's in Port Huron, and other areas of Michigan(mostly straight across the middle of Michigan) and like 3 other Mclaren families I know are related but I have not found a connection yet. My Mclaren's came from I believe Perthshire Scotland around the late 1700's but stayed in contact with Mclaren's that seemed to come from Scotland around the mid 1800's or so.
What areas did your Mclaren family live in in Canada? My family lived all over. I have found my family and the Mclaren's I know are related in Huron, Lanark, Victoria, Glengarry, Oxford, Wellington, Brandt, Bruce and possibly more. If I run across any information on your family while researching mine I will pass it along.

 | Mclaren's in Michigan Hi Janice,
I just saw you left flowers on my GG Grandfather's page, I dont know why I didnt get an email. I was just wondering if your Mclaren's are any relation? I noticed your Eliza Mclaren McPhail was born in St Clair and I have recently come across information where I am related to some Mclaren's out of Port Huron, St Clair Michigan. You left floweres on this page:

 | RE: Cora Eaton Janice, I am more than delighted and happy to get Cora's photo for you. I got kind of lazy this summer and get to many pictures done. But now that it has cooled off I'm back at it.Added by chmpjf on Nov 04, 2012 2:00 PM | | | Jan Fenter
 | RE: Clyde Harris Hello Janice, You are very welcome for the picture of his headstone. The year of death you gave didn't match, but I checked a couple other sources and was pretty sure the 1982 year was correct and I had the correct person. Jan | | | | [View all messages...] |
