|sbhutson||Mary Ann (Stokes) Gerard Waggaman|
Thank you very much - that was so helpful of you to get me started!
Mary Ann Stokes was married abt 1840 to Samuel D Gerard (c.1816 VA – 1859 IL) and moved to Vermilion Co, IL before the birth of their son Samuel in 1855.
They had these known children (most of whom I did not trace yet):
James Gerard b:OH
Sarah Ann Gerard b:OH
Elizabeth Gerard b:OH
Ellen Sina Gerard b:OH(m. James R Petet),
John T. Gerard b:OH
Alfred Gerard b: OH
Samuel D. Gerard b:IL (m Fannie Goble)
Rebecca Gerard b:IL
She was remarried in 1867 to Andrew "Andy" Waggaman [1801 NC - 1873 IL], widower of Tobitha Lyons and father of 9 children.
Mary A Gerrard (sic) [c1820 OH -1877 IL], Samuel Garard (sic) [c1816 VA - 1859 IL] and son James Garard (sic) [c1840-1856] are buried in Yankee Point Cemetery - Ridge Farm, Vermilion Co, IL.
Andy Waggaman is buried with Tobitha in
Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Vermilion Co, IL
Note re: spelling: Samuel D Jrs headstone (in Vermillion Co, IN not Vermilion Co, IL) is sp. GERARD.

Do you have sources for her children by William H Stokes. I have traced the sons but have not found Mary Ann Stokes.

|TheDonL||RE: Frank Albert Shutte|
I was in a hurry and made a mistake. Several people submitted children to Frank Dave Schutte that I thought were not his. I sent the same message to all of them.
I checked 1 or 2 out and found out they had a different mother than Mary. And they were born years before Mary & Frank got married. There was another Frank Schutte with that woman's name. Then I found out after I had sent the messages that Frank had remarried.
Thanks for writing back and for the work you do.
Please forgive me.

In find a grave, how could Samuel Paxton (Hopewell Cemetery, Ohio) and Rachel Whiteman be married after his death?
Awesome! Thanks so much! I appreciate the promptness to my request, (that never happens lol). You are great!

This is one of my ggfathers also! I noticed your name was McQuiston, and in my history I have a Joanna Foster marrying Andrew Clement McQuiston.
Would you know the names of William Owens' parents, or want to venture a guess?
Are you on ancestry also?
Do you know where the "Clement" name came from?
This intrigues me! My ancestor, Samuel Clement Foster also had the "Clement" middle name, so there has to be a Clement in our ancestry, doesn't there? My grandmother was Alberta Owens Knox of Clearfield, IA.
Let me know what you think!

Thanks much for the input---I appreciate it! I've added the cemetery and added a memorial for Geraldine Heitsman and linked it to her parents.
I tried to email you at the email address you list in your profile, but they came back as undeliverable. I was hoping to get your approval to use some of your pictures of the stones in my personal research from the Darrtown Pioneer Cemetery. Please let me know. Thank you so much for creating them!
