|I was born in Olean,NY. My natural father is was from Morgantown, West Virginia. His family are some of the early settlers of colonial times. As my mother's family from Pa. also where. I moved all over the country but in the end married a man from West Va., and settled close to the Pa. West Va. line. Have been here for 28 yrs now.|

Her real name was Helene Terjesdatter Yderstad.
Her grave in Vestre Moland cemetery, do not longer exist. She was unmarried and became 19 years old.

The name Lambert appears to have been spelled differently throughout the cemeteries in this area. Many family members used the spelling of Lamberd, while others used Lambert. It can be quite confusing, with one family using one variation and others a second. Since Elen is not the only one to use this spelling, we've chosen to stay with what is on the headstone. We can add a note to that affect, however, to make that clear for others :)
