Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my families' genealogy for over 30 years. I've also researched my husband's family, friends' families and try to help others in their search. I compulsively read obituary notices (even though there is no one I know) and love to visit old cemeteries and read the stones, so this is the next logical step.

Please submit requests and corrections to memorials I maintain via the "Suggest A Correction" tab. I only transfer memorials within FAG guidelines but am more than happy to do any and all corrections and updates. I do not add links on my memorials to "burial unknowns".

Please do not add scans of obituaries as photos. Send them to me and I will transcribe them into their proper place in the bio section of the memorial.

I have entered a lot of memorials but haven't been able to go back and add additional information and links as I would like. However, that doesn't mean I'm not interested. I am gradually adding information but I have a very busy life outside of Findagrave. I welcome all information and try to respond to Suggest A Corrections promptly.

Hey Kim,

I think you accidentally put 1988 as her birth year also.

Margareth "Irene" Strangeway
Hi Kim,

I see you have a listing for my Great Grandmother Irene Strangeway Bunchanan. You are correct below, her first name was Margareth and she went by her middle name Irene.
With kindest regards,

Margareth "Irene" Strangeway Buchanan
Birth: Sep. 25, 1872
Death: Jan. 27, 1897

Wife of William Buchanan. After Irene's death, William moved the family to Wood County, Wisconsin. Irene was the mother of Avis, Gladys, Leo and Kenneth. Gladys Buchanan married Joseph Earl Miller, on April 25, 1916, in Kalispell, Montana.

There is an entry in the Wisconsin Genealogical Index for a Margareth Strangeway married to William Buchanan in Sauk County, Wisconsin, on January 14, 1887. Is this actually Irene? Will need to check the actual entry.

I received two edit requests from you regarding Lillie Lankford. The only issue was there was no actual edit or change to be made. If I am missing something please contact me with the info you were wanting to edit and I will happily make the changes.

Moses Bitney
I am building a virtual cemetery for the 20th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry & I have a Moses Bitney that was in Company I. My records shot that he enlisted 13-Aug-1862 from Millville, WI & was discharged 27-Feb-1863 for wounds received at Prairie Grove, AR 07-Dec-1862.
I am wondering if your Moses Bitney buried at Lodi is the same man. If he is I will add him to my virtual cemetery.

Thanks for your time.

RE: Hall Brother's at Stone's River

Thank you so much. This research is in regard to updating my family tree as well as a book I am writing. It involves 14 ancestors that fought in the war, John Hall{44th Illinois} was married to my Great-Great Aunt, Emeline Wilson. Her brother John R. Wilson
{35th Illinois} fought alongside the Hall brothers at the Battle of Stones River.
I am also looking for pictures with very little success.

Thank you again!

John C. Hall and Joshua Hall

I am currently doing research on several men who fought at Stones River in Dec. 1862-Jan.1863.
Two of which are John C. Hall and his brother Joshua. Both were killed on Dec. 31st as a result of gunshots wounds to the head.[Arkansas Historical Quarterly. Vol. VI. Winter, 1947, No. 4] This research pertains to my family tree and possible publication.

You mentioned that they were killed in the initial Confederate attack. I any other info you may have would be helpful.
