Because he lived, next door a child|
To see him coming often smiled,
And thought him her devoted friend
Who gladly gave her coins to spend.
Because he lived, a neighbor knew
A clump of tall delphiniums blue
And oriental poppies red
He'd given for a flower bed.
Because he lived, a man in need
Was grateful for a kindly deed
And ever after tried to be
As thoughtful and as fine as he.
Because he lived, ne'er great or proud
Or known to all the motley crowd,
A few there were whose tents were pitched
Near his who found their lives enriched.

|Matt Garrett||Lillie Sanders Allen memorial# 58953915|
I wondered if you could help me disconnect Lillie from her current mother Mary Ann Smith Elliott memorial# 148073795 and her father Aaron Saunders Memorial # 103950445. I am the person who originally connected Lillie Allen to these people. But I since found new evidence that these two people are not her parents. The Real daughter of Aaron & Mary is Lillian Lureittia Saunders Berry. Lillian also died in Arenac County, I recently found her Michigan death certificate linking this Lillian to her parents Aaron & Mary Smith Saunders, I also found an obituary for Lillian's sister referring to Lillian's husband as Mrs Amos Berry---not Mrs Allen. Would you like to see this evidence? I can easily send copies of this evidence to you. I apologize for my error and hope you help me correct my mistake. Thank you for your help

Thanks so much for your reply.
I have made a memorial for John Leonard (Holmberg)--Memorial #146245275. In it, he is listed as "body lost at sea". If we are ever able to determine that "Johann" (memorial #79226675
in Clam Lake Cemetery is John Leonard, I will change the burial information.

I am interested in this memorial for "Johann" at Clam Lake Cemetery in Wexford County, Michigan.
A man named John Leonard Holmberg who came from Sweden, while working aboard a ship, drowned in Lake Michigan in 1875. He left a wife and children in Clam Lake. We had thought his body wasn't found, but after seeing this memorial, I am wondering if this could be his grave.

Thanks for making catching that and putting the photograph with the correct memorial page. I have removed the photograph from the other memorial page as you requested.

I was looking up Henry Blackborn, died 1871 in Nevada County, and that article came up.
