|I'm originally from central Minnesota, but now live in Salt Lake City.|
I typically only add memorials for family and friends. However, if I'm traveling to cemeteries for research, I'll take photos of requested gravestones, if I can find them.
In the course of my genealogical research, I've also wandered through cemeteries in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maryland, Michigan, Virginia, Ohio; Ontario, Canada; and even Sweden. In the future, I hope to visit more cemeteries in New England, then eventually the UK, Germany, and Poland.

No, I am not related. I was adding updates to some other family members when I came across his memorial. The information you added is excellent and may generate some additional responses to help resolve the inconsistencies.

Yes! I have a few Irish ancestors that are like that - and the name carved in Stone is not always the most accurate...

Thanks for responding. I am not related. You can take out the sentence having to do with his wife's family, and any unsubstantiated fact. Or not use it at all if you wish. I try not to add to 'myths' but I think each family can do their own verifying from these old written accounts and they are worth it if they mention family members who otherwise might not be found.
I am curious as to how you come to use Salmon as his first name. His headstone says Solomon which is how it is traditionally spelled.

Thanks for making the edits to Solomon Britton's memorial. Can you add his biography that I sent you, too? If you find it too long I could edit it or if there is any other problem, please let me know.

You may know this procedure but it not...
If the corrections are not done in a timely matter, send an email with the links from both memorials to Edit @ findagrave.com and request a merge.
If it is done in 30 or so days, I will be sending it per the guidelines. I hope it is all resolved by then.
Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave.
