Bio and Links
Bio Photo Since February 2012 a group of us have been working on a project to photograph entire sections in Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California. Progress on this project is updated frequently below. As we add photos we use them to correct memorials and link to family members or send requests to have the memorials corrected or updated. We add new memorials to this cemetery based on these photographs and on the National Gravesite Locator website for this cemetery.

Credits:

FAG members Samme Templin, Theresa Miller, Christine S., and Cindy S. are helping to post the photos.

FAG contributor Stewart Blandon is working on Section 2E.

FAG contributor Kathleen Clemence is working on Section R.

FAG contributor Christine and Winmar finished photographing and posting photos from Section MA.

Please join us!! I estimate that we have posted at least 30% of the photos in the cemetery, and are posting nearly 1400 photos every week. It's a big job and we could use your help!

Please contact me if you are willing to help this project by either uploading photographs that I have taken, or by photographing other sections.

Please contact me if you have a better photograph of a headstone for a memorial (e.g., with better lighting), and I will be happy to remove my photo from the memorial. [Over time I've learned the hard way the right times of day to photograph markers in the cemetery to get the best lighting, usually in the afternoon.]

RE: GGNC photo
You are very welcome. I think the endeavor of having pics for all the tombstones is great. I haven't been spending a lot of time taking pics, but when I can I enjoy helping.

RE: Dunbars in Owatonna
Tom,

I was happy that I could fill your request. Yes the markers are very simple and took me a couple scans of that section of the cemetery before I found them....

Thanks for the picture of his grave stone Tom. Although I never met Alfred, I'm quite sure he was my great uncle born in Brockton, MA in 1901.

RE: Thomas Lahey Two Rivers
No problem, anytime. If you have any other family members here I can take the photo's I go out everyday. I'm GPS'ing the whole cemetery. People were looking at my partner and I like were crazy. However, we have a great time and have fun while in the bone yard. We actually were washing the stones before the photo's were taken. The moss & Alge this year are eating the stones away like nothing. Basically, we went in garden hose and all cleaning stones prior to the photo's. History is now preserved from the mother natures fury from 60 below zero weather this past winter. Glad to be a service to you. In the future, if you need anymore photo's here in Manitowoc County WI shoot me an email. I can go out and get it for ya. I also have access to obituaries at our wonderful library if you need any. Take care!

I went to this cemetery today..unfortunately the gravestone of Mary/Franklin Belden d 1831/1833 has broken off completely with only a small piece remaining. I made a copy of the gravestones in this cemetery and I know the gravestone before it and after it..so am sure that this was their gravestone. Will post the photo soon.
