Bio and Links
Bio Photo Tombstone tourist, taphophile, cemetery enthusiast, genealogist, graver. I am a United States Army Female Veteran born in Germany to an English-German-Danish-Irish-Czechoslovakian-American father and German mother. Tenth great-granddaughter of George Soule, who arrived in this country aboard the Mayflower. I am researching the families of my fourth great-grandfathers, Henry George Lossing and Noah Jacob Huss. Noah had 200+ great-grandchildren and I am trying to get each and every one linked to him.

Please stop by my mom's page, Ingrid Koss, to leave a flower, she loved the color purple. Mom is the only person listed on Findagrave with the last/maiden name of Bläwert.

Each generation of my family has had a member who served in the military. Having served in the military myself, I have a soft spot for all who did as well. Please leave a note for Captain Neil Stanley Bynum. I wore his MIA bracelet until it broke into pieces. If you manage a veteran's memorial page please remember to thank him/her.

CHECK YOUR EDITS TAB ON YOUR PROFILE PAGE! If you find any errors with the memorials I manage, please SEND-A-SAC. Corrections left on my contributor page will not be acknowledged and will be deleted. If you would like me to add an obituary from a published media, please edit the obituary and exclude the names of living family. I will not post cut and paste obituaries. Before you leave a photo of a death certificate on someone's page, ask yourself this question... Would I leave a copy of the death certificate when visiting this person at their gravesite?

Do not be offended if you see your message has been deleted. I found it much easier to search my messages if I email them to myself and search my inbox.

Re: George & Sarah Bickel Miller
Thank you for the quick changes on Catherine Stieff's memorial. Yes I have requested changes on George and Sarah Miller's memorials. I need to take another picture of Sarah Miller's inscription. The grave marker is white marble which is very eroded and the inscription could not be read in my picture. The census data for George Miller did not match the date of death on his memorial. Also, three of Catherine Stieff's children are buried north of their grandparents. Doug

RE: Mombleau's
I am going to check with Mt Olivet and see if I can get a plot map for the lot where Charles and Sarah are buried like the one I got showing Nellie's position. If I can, I will add it to their memorials as well as a photo of the actual lot with their locations marked.

RE: Goodard photos & Rathbun's
From what I have from "The Rathbun-Rathbone-Rathburn Family Historian", Jonathan (1734-1800) was the son of John Rathbun (1693-1752) & Alice Unknown. Is that similar to your information?

RE: Goodard photos & Rathbun's
Our earliest Rathbun/Rathbones were from Kingston, RI. I have limited information on your Jonathan Rathbone (1734-1800) - son of John (1693-1752) - grandson of John Jr. - great grandson of John Rathbone (1629-1702) & Margaret Acres.

RE: Maria Dougherty's Mother

Charles Dougherty's second wife, Charlotte, is listed in Prairie River Cemetery. He married her on April 18, 1850. Maria's mother, Julia, must have died before that. There's no record of her in the Prairie River Cemetery transcription. Maybe she died in Pennsylvania before Charles came to Michigan. Sorry I can't be more help.

Goodard photos & Rathbun's
Thank you for the transfer. Hope the headstone photo will show when Fred Goodard died.

Our recent Rathbun's were from New York & Nebraska - G grandfather Charles Addison Rathbun / Charles Fitch Rathbun / John Addison Rathbun / John Rathbun & Abigail Fitch / Robert Rathbun & Freelove Northup / John Rathbun & Hannah Eldred / Samuel Rathbun & Abigail Eldred / Thomas Rathbun & Mary Dickens / John Rathbun & Margaret Acres. We're probably related if we go back far enough.

RE: Maria Dougherty's Mother

I'm pretty sure that Julia Thoms is in Prairie River cemetery too - on the other side of the monument for Charles Thoms. I didn't take a photo of the other side of the monument probably because it was in shadow.

I've been adding names to Prairie River cemetery from a cemetery transcription done by the St. Joseph County Genealogical Society back in the '90's. I'm at "Te" now. Haven't quite gotten to "Th" but I have to go to the library to get "Th". I'll let you know if I find Juila Thoms!

Jane Bennett Correction
You are correct, just a typo. Correction made. Any connection to her or aware of anyone who is? Thanks!
