I only recently started researching my family history but have been hooked ever since.
I am trying to add old ranch cemeteries of Upton snd surrounding Counties. I live in Upton County, Texas & would be willing to help people out with cemetery info for any of the surrounding areas.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photo I posted to your request. He is buried in a spot that is impossible for the marker to get sunlight on it. I did the best I could with the light available.

Best regards,

RE: P T Stroud
I'm glad I could help!

I thought the Strouds' grave was unique. My great-great grandfather and great-great-great grandparents are buried not far from the Strouds.

If you have not seen it, here is a link to a page about his regiment.http://www.alabama37th.com/History-a.htm

William Howell Pittman
Hi Lindsey...William Howell Pittman and my Great Grandfather George Washington Pittman were brothers and the sons of:
Rene Marion Pittman #52667018
Mary A. Howell Pittman#52666957
(thank-you for linking them together)

Also W.H.Pittman's daughters:
Susie Pittman Fore #42127241
Fannie Pittman Marshall #72718507

More information on William Howell Pittman on my website... Tracks of My Texas Ancestors at this URL:
http://downthedustyroad.blogspot.com/2011/09/william-howell-pittman-family.html

Other information you are welcome to as well on The Pittman/Carroll/Marley Family Tree on ancestry.com. I am assuming you are the Troublefield that I often see when researching the Pittman surname.

Also here on Find A Grave in the Pittman/Carroll/Marley Virtual Cemetery. Ever since discovering William Howell's Family, I have been very interested in all of the daughters, especially Texannah...love her name. You have done a great job of documenting her family. He and my Great Grandfather George Washington were the two Pittman's to come from Georgia after the Civil War. Their other siblings and parents remained in Georgia. All of them are accounted for in my Virtual Cemetery...the list is on Rene Marion's Memorial. They are buried in The Howell Family Cemetery in Georgia.

Thanks for responding...I'm very happy to meet you and thank you for your work on the Pittman Family History.

Nordykes at Old Cottonwood Cemetery
Thanks for the transfers of the Nordyke family memorials at the Old Cottonwood Cemetery in Callahan County. Old Cottonwood and Cottonwood East have been combined, so there should be no further duplication between the two cemeteries.
